Hello friends, how are you? I hope you're all doing well. Last week I made a Verdion sculpture out of cans, a really beautiful sculpture that I thoroughly enjoyed creating. Today, on the other hand, I chose an Emberion, which is somewhat similar, but it has other details besides the color that make it quite different. I also made this sculpture from cans; I've worked with this material a lot, so I'm quite skilled with it. To achieve this, I used the same templates but made modifications to give a different result. I'll also show you some of the figures I've made so far, although I still have more to make, as I've already given some away. This was something I promised my friend @solumviz last week, and here I am, keeping my promise. I'll explain the process and how it differs from my previous work. Let's get started!

Hola amigos, ¿qué tal? Espero que se encuentren muy bien, la semana pasada hice una escultura de latas de Verdion, una escultura muy bonita que disfruté muchísimo hacer. Hoy por el contrario eligió un Emberion el cual es un poco parecido, sin embargo tiene otra clase de detalles a parte del color que lo hacen muy diferente. Esta escultura también la he realizado con latas, he trabajado mucho este material así que lo domino muy bien, para lograrlo utilicé las mismas plantillas pero le hice modificaciones para que el resultado fuera diferente. También les mostraré algunas de las figuras que he realizado hasta ahora, aunque me faltan más, ya que algunas las he obsequiado. Fue algo que le prometí al amigo @solumviz la semana pasada ay aquí estoy cumpliendo con mi promesa. Les explicaré como fue el proceso y en que se diferencia de mi trabajo anterior, ¡comencemos!

I drew the templates almost identically in every aspect, including the head, torso, arms, legs, and tail. However, I altered the head slightly to make it thinner at the top, and also the mouth to make it sharper. Other details I drew separately were the small dragon wings, the horns, and the eyes. I made the eyes from tin cans because I don't like how they look when I paint them directly onto the can. I also used cans of different colors, such as dark, almost purple red, Coca-Cola red, and orange, since Emberion has contrasting colors.

Dibujé las plantillas casi igual en todos los aspectos, como la cabeza, el torso, brazos, piernas y cola. Sin embargo alteré la cabeza un poco más para hacerla más fina en la parte superior, así también la boca para que quedara más afilada. Otros detalles que dibujé a parte fueron las alas de dragón que son pequeñas, los cuernos y los ojos, estos últimos los hice de lata ya que no me gusta como quedan cuando los pinto con pintura encima de la lata. También usé latas de diferentes colores, como colo rojos oscuro casi púrpura, también rojo coca cola y naranja, ya que Emberion tiene contraste en estos colores.

I started with the top of the head, which, as you can see, I made Coca-Cola red. The folds at the top are closer together, making the head look somewhat pointed in that area. Then I did the top of the mouth, changing the can color to orange. I also made some cuts to give it the pointed shape, just like Emberion.

Comencé por la parte superior e la cabeza, la cual como pueden ver la hice de color rojo coca cola, en los pliegues superiores queda todo más cerca lo que hace que la cabeza en esa parte quede algo puntiaguda. Luego hago la parte superior de la boca, aquí cambio el color de la lata a naranja, también hago unos cortes para que quede puntiagudo tal cual es Emberion.

Next, I make the lower part, which includes the neck and part of the mouth. I also make this part by gluing the template onto the orange aluminum can. Then, when I start making the neck, I use the red color from the Coca-Cola can again. Making these two parts, you can see how the piece starts to create a contrast.

Luego hago la parte inferior que contiene el cuello y también parte de la boca, esta parte también la hago pegando la plantilla sobre la lata de aluminio de color naranja. Por su parte, cuando comienzo a hacer la parte del cuello aquí vuelvo a utilizar el color rojo de la lata de coca cola, haciendo estas dos partes se puede ver como la pieza va tomando un contraste.

After using the red color, I begin to switch to a darker red to make the entire torso piece. Both pieces will help support the arms and legs. This can is a bit thinner, so it bends more easily, which I really like when using it, unlike others that are more rigid.

Después de haber utilizado el color rojo, comienzo a cambiar al color rojo más oscuro para hacer toda la pieza del torso, ambas piezas ayudarán tanto como a mantener los brazos y tambien las piernas. Esta lata es un poco más fina por lo que se dobla con más facilidad, me gusta mucho cuando la utilizo, al contrario de otras que son más rígidas.

For the tail, I also used the same color I used for the torso. Emberion's tail ends normally, with nothing else added. Now for the legs, I change the color again, once more to Coca-Cola red. I really like these color changes, and it's to maintain the essence of the character.

Para hace la cola utilizo también el mismo color que utilicé en el torso, la cola de Emberion finaliza de forma normal, sin más nada que agregar. Ahora las piernas vuelvo a cambiar el color, otra vez el color rojo coca cola, la verdad que estos cambios de colores me gustan mucho, y es para mantener la esencia del personaje.

Now come the small details, starting with the horns. I make a template that's divided into three parts, and after shaping each small part, I join them together. Then I place them on top of the head along with the small ears, one on each side, very close to the horns. After that, I start making the dragon wings, which I think are the most striking detail. I shape them with scissors and also on the can with the tip of a pen, and then I glue them to each arm.

Ahora vienen los pequeños detalles, empezando por los cuernos, los cuales hago una plantilla quue se divide en tre spartes, luego de darle forma cada pequeña parte van unidas entre si. Luego de eso los coloco en la parte superior de la cabeza junto con las pequeñas orejas, una cada lado, muy cerca de los cuerno. Después de eso comienzo a hacer las alas de dragón, a mi parecer el detalle más llamativo, le doy forma con la tijera y tambien en la lata con la punta de un bolígrafo, despues de eso las pego en cada brazo.

Finally, I make the eyes. As I mentioned at the beginning, I use cans that match the colors of Emberion's eyes, then I glue them together until I have two eyes. After that, I place each one in its spot on the face. I also add the white fangs, and that's it!

Para finalizar hago los ojos, como dije al principio, los hago utilizando latas que tengan los colores d elos ojos de Emberion, luego las voy uniendo con pegamento hasta hacer los dos ojos, después cada uno los pongo en su lugar en el rostro. También agrego los colmillos blancos y así quedo finalizado.

What do you think of the result? As you can see, the finish is very different compared to Verdion, starting with the color. The wings are definitely a plus, making it look incredibly cool, cute yet intimidating. I'll show you my old figures, which are incomplete because I've given some away.

¿Qué les ha parecido el resultado? como pueden observar el acabado es muy diferente si lo comparamos con Verdion, empezando por el color. Sin duda que las alas son un plus que lo hacen lucir demasiado genial, tierno pero intimidante. Les mostraré mis antiguas figuras, las cuales estan incompletas porque he obsequiado algunas.

Well, here are some of the characters I've made from aluminum cans, like Infurnal, which I made quite fierce and large. I think I could make another version of him. There's also Wrackoo and Zappit, which I made last year if I remember correctly. As you can see, the can colors always suit the characters. And finally, there's Verdion, who's now joined by Emberion. Bueno aquí les muestro algunos compañeros que he realizado con latas de aluminio, como por ejemplo a Infurnal, que lo hcie bien feroz y de un gran tamaño, creo que podría hacer otro modelo de su escultura. Tambien están Wrackoo y Zappit, que los hice el año pasado si mal no recuerdo, como pueden ver los colores de las latas siempre se adaptan a los personajes, y por último pues a Verdion a quien se le une ahora Emberion. ¿Quién se unirá en el futuro? espero saberlo pronto jejeje, por ahora me despido, muchas gracias por su atención!
