The week that was

My week ended not at all like it began, and which was a continuation from the week before. It was dominated by work stuff and a difficult client who is not enjoying being ramped into the 21st Century. Even though their decisions are necessitating it. Even though there are things they must simply accept because life and tech dictate it. They - I - have no control and they really do just have to suck it up.

This was the Sunday silhouette that greeted me as I left my usual afternoon thing.

For the rest, my camera reverted to taking photos of food:

A week night quick, stuffed sourdough pita

Yesterday (Sunday), I promised myself a day, and I spent a chunk of it brunching in the warm winter sun with my book.

Comfort food: creamy scrambled eggs and mushrooms on sourdough bruschetta

This, however, is what greeted me when I went to bed:

My two boy cats have been having it out. Again.

Until next time

That tech struggle with the client is so real — some people just refuse to move on from the flip phone era lol. But that brunch? Total vibe

It seemed like the worst of the week was over, I saw her enjoying her delicious meal, but the unexpected ending to her post made me exclaim, "Oh my God!" How sad that her cats are fighting, I have no idea how she could resolve that. @fionasfavourites 🥲

They are both adult males that didn't grow up together and one of whom has adopted me. 🙄 Then there's the renovation work, so the house is in turmoil which is upsetting them. So, for the moment, I - and they - just have to get on with it.

That looks really yummy. I like scrambled eggs and adding creamy mushrooms on sourdough bread makes it even better. That kind of food is simple but feels so nice to eat. It’s perfect when you just want to relax and enjoy your meal.
