The Sandbag House Reno Record - Re-screed and restoration of the stoeps part 4

First, the final slab is done. All that remains is a little retaining wall and for the tool shed to go back where it belongs.

I guess the latter will happen after the painting.

Then, I have worked out how to "dress" the "divider" between mine and theirs: cacti.

The collection started at the market on Saturday. These will be transplanted into more suitable pots.

There will be no further developments - I don't think - until after the Easter weekend. B, the builder, and I have to work on a more detailed plan and schedule. And there is a lot of packing up to do to make space for work to happen without the danger of breaking or damaging furniture and its contents.

Until next time

Wow, Fiona, I’m always excited to catch up on your Sandbag House updates! The work you’ve done on the stoeps is nothing short of inspiring. It’s clear how much heart and thought goes into every step—quite literally! I admire how you manage the practical side of things while preserving the soul of the space. Your storytelling makes me feel like I’m right there with you, watching the transformation happen. Can’t wait to see what’s next in this beautiful journey!
