The Sandbag House Reno Record - a little bit of this and a little bit of that...
Updates are becoming a little more regular. And, will continue to be. I hope. B the Builder has suggested that the interior - at least - should be done by the end of November.
This Saturday saw the void really starting to look - and feel like a room.

Now, when I do something down the way from the void, there's an echo. Like an empty room. Which is technically what it now is. What's left, is the filling and painting.
And the bathroom:

This un-clad (if that's a word) wall is waiting for a new door after the wash hand basin has been relocated and the plumbing redirected.
Then, B surprised me on Tuesday:

With ladders, buckets and paint.

When I quizzed him, because we all agreed that the interior is the priority, B went on to explain that he needs The Son, A's help. The latter is due to get seasonal work in a local fruit factory when harvest hits (as it does in our area any time from November) and A's looking to get proper work (and not be his dad's lackey. The upshot: B's "using" him while he's here. The other bits where he's not up on the roof and a l-o-o-ong ladder, he can do on his own.
Oh, and, rightly, he wants to do the roof - done - before the summer heat arrives and Tuesday was our first taste of a 25°C+ day. I was not sorry - for me - but I had - and will have - great sympathy for them.

That's the first coat. I am really pleased...
Until next time
