"Squatting" at the "Cat House"
I visit this "cat house" often, and yesterday claimed "squatters' rights" when there was a scheduled power outage in the village. Usually, within minutes of my occupying a chair, Bobcat lays claim to my lap.
Yesterday, as I sat down to work, dowager cat, Olive, beat him to it.
He was not impressed.
There, she cuddled for the next two hours as I worked on the stoep on an unusually warm, balmy winter's day.
Bob subsided.
Sulking?
Perhaps.

PS my Poe is a real ninny, is being bullied by someone's brown cat, so he's spending very little time outside😅
I do, I visit regularly. Poor poe! My own, are all in sulking mode: with me, the house and each other! The sooner this is done, the better for us all.
In the meantime, we have gone from sizzling to freezing 🥶 😬 🤗
I am very sad that I can't take Poe with me when I move! We've both grown so attached to each other and he's been such a comfort the past two years! He'll stay on here, Bonginkosi and Cynthia will alternate so one of them will be with him all the time.
Oh, my. That would have been a deal breaker for me. But good that he doesn't have to move and can stay with Bongi ans Cynthia 😸

I can picture that moment so clearly sunshine, fresh air and a cuddly cat. Even without power, it sounds like a peaceful and happy break from the usual routine.
