Monday mood
To say that yesterday was Monday is stating the obvious. Somehow, though, Mondays seem to have a character of their own. Often infused with "hangovers" from the previous week. So, yesterday was no different.
I've been waiting for confirmation of a job and last week, bought a piece of furniture (for The Corner), and which couldn't be fetched because my friend, R's vehicle had a flat battery).
Effectively, the week began in hurry-up-and-wait mode.
Fortunately, R replaced his battery and by mid-morning we were on our way to make the collection, and by lunch time, had stashed in another friend's garage which gave me the opportunity to photograph that property. More of that. In time.
Then, back to the office and then:
Wham!
The project arrived. With complications. D and I looked for the easiest work-around. Not to be had. So, a workaround has been found, so that her "elf" ( me - ha!) in McGregor can get on with it.
So I did.
By nightfall, I needed to get out.
So I did.
Happily. As I was shutting up shop, I had to appreciate the colours and light. Of the setting sun and rising moon.

Then:
As I headed down the road, I had to stop:

I could not have timed it better.
Then, when I headed home after dark:

And before heading into the house I had to look at the moon. Just once again.

There was hardly a month in all the time I knew The Husband that he did not comment on the full moon. He loved the moon. Two years ago, when he died, it was full moon. He did not see, let alone enjoy, the last two full moons of his life: he was in ICU. There was no window near his bed. For someone who lived for light, space and fresh air, it was just another dimension of the living hell.
Such were my ruminations as I prepared and ate my supper.

I have continued my our meat free Monday tradition. This week, thanks to my market pal, Trish, it was her falafel, hummus and tzatziki and my pita. A meal that The Husband, rather reluctantly, admitted that he enjoyed.
Until next time

Watching the moon is always a pleasure outdoors, clear skies make it exceptionally beautiful.
