Biscuit memories

It's been years since I made these biscuits. Some might call them lemon drops. Whatever. It really just depends on your choice of flavouring.
Lemon just happens to be my favourite.
I made a batch about a month ago. I am out of practice; they didn't look like I used to make them. To sell in a village café in the Eastern Cape, 30+ years ago. The dough didn't "behave".
Why?
Because then, margarine was an "acceptable" ingredient. Now, not. And, modern marge doesn't "behave" like it used to.
More to the point, butter is just better. In every sense of the word.
Anyway, after making blueberry jam and being given a lot of lemons, I gave it another go and made jam drops.

The result: delicious ugly cookies.

Will I make them again? Yes. And, yes, from time to time, they will find their way to my stall at the market.
Oh, and yes, it was baking and selling these, all those years ago, that was the start of "Fiona’s Favourites". Who would have thought?
Until next time

Yes. And oldie and a goodie!
That looks absolutely beautiful if I'm there after you take it out from the oven it's will finish instantly 😂
🤣🤣
Yum, "Fiona's Favourites" are right up my alley - buttery, lemon, and homemade jam!
That looks still yummy and mouth watering. It looks okay and enjoyable to every bite.
