A little twilight on a Thursday

I love that summer and balmy evenings are on their way: I can have all the doors open - into the evening.

Last night, the twilight literally called me out.

The lawn isn't looking so great: we're working on it and the irrigation system's been letting too much water out of places it shouldn't, so yesterday saw some of it dug up. It will recover...

Betsy and Khaya, in the photo above, are back and have grown! They have returned after having camped out elsewhere and while there isn't much left to graze on, they're safer up here than down in the village where stock theft - and mutilation (I kid you not) - are not uncommon. Besides, I like their company.

My red-gold bougainvillea bower which should perform better now the water issue's resolved.

Until next time

Your bougainvillea looks gorgeous Fiona! I'd love to have a Betsy and Khaya in my back garden. Enjoy the warmer weather!

Thanks, Lizelle. Saturday was windy and cold like winter, but mercifully we're in for a warm week or so. However, we need rain: level 1 water restrictions are in place from this month.
