Ahora bien, luego de este breve preámbulo vamos a intentar abordar aspectos que me parecen relevantes intentando hacer un acercamiento. Si te pasaste por el Whitepaper has podido notar que worldcoin parece una iniciativa bastante ambisiosa, que busca solventar con su propuesta los desafios actuales con respecto a la diferenciación digital de los humanos frente a los robots basados en IA, y además propone tambíen una red financiera basada en un protocolo nuevo llamado "Prueba de Humanidad"

El documento intenta dar los detalles del proyecto, explicando que pretende crear una red financiera y de identificación global. Nos menciona también los principios por los que se rige y las estrategias futuras. Pero, voy a intentar desarrollar punto a punto en la medida de lo posible.

Comencemos con una breve definución

¿Qué es Worldcoin?

Es un proyecto basado en blockchain, no creo que sea adecuado hablar de una criptomoneda ya que esta construida sobre la Blockchain de Etherium, es decir, podemos llamarlo un token ERC-20. El proyecto esta fundado por Sam Altman, ex director ejecutivo de OpenAI y Alex Blania, un ingeniero de software.

El proyecto pretende escanear el iris con un dispositivo llamado Orbe y con el crear una identidad única digital. Las preguntas que me hago es que tan realmente harán lo que promete, me refiero, ¿Qué nos asegura que no usaran los datos recopilados por los Orbes en contra de las personas?

Now, after this brief preamble, we are going to try to address aspects that seem relevant to me by making an approach. If you went through the Whitepaper you may have noticed that worldcoin seems like a quite ambitious project, which seeks to solve with its proposal the current challenges with respect to the digital differentiation of humans from robots based on AI, and also proposes a financial network based on a new protocol called "Proof of Humanity".

The document tries to give the details of the project, explaining that it intends to create a global financial and identification network. It also mentions the principles by which it is governed and future strategies. But, I'm going to try to develop point by point as much as possible.

Let's start with a brief definition

What is Worldcoin?

It is a project based on blockchain, I do not think it is appropriate to talk about a cryptocurrency since it is built on the Ethereum Blockchain, that is, we can call it an ERC-20 token. The project is founded by Sam Altman, former CEO of OpenAI and Alex Blania, a software engineer.

The project intends to scan the iris with a device called Orbe and create a unique digital identity with it. The questions I ask myself are how real they will do what they promise, I mean, what assures us that they will not use the data collected by the Orbes against the people?

Básicamente el funcionamiento no es nada complejo, con los orbes, escanean el iris, afirman que no es invasivo y es rápido. Ahora bien, una vez escaneado el ojo se crea la identidad que ya les había mencionado. Es decir, el ojo humano es la llave para crear la wallet, este proceso lo han llamado:

"Prueba de Personalidad"

Al parecer es el componente elemental del proyecto, ya que aseguran con tal mecanismo el poder diferenciar a un humano de una inteligencia artificia, porque al parecer, este es uno de los retos al que nos vamos a enfrentar y que de algún modo ya nos estamos enfrentando. Y que Worldcoin promete resolver.

Aunque esa verificación de identidad, promete privacidad, todo apunta que no será así. Ya que no es en verdad un proyecto descentralizado ni de código abierto. En este punto hay que hacer una salvedad, no todo lo que es construido en blockchian es web3, pero, todo lo que es web3 si es blockchain. Me pregunto:

• ¿Por que no es un proyecto de código abierto?

• ¿Por que no implementaron su propia blockchain?

• ¿Por que no es verdaderamente descentralizao?

Aunque el documento y el proyecto proponen y venden al token worldcoin como una solución novedosa y como un sueño de oportunidades, creo que realmente esta muy lejos de eso. Hay una serie de beneficios que nos quieren vender al proyecto como la panacea, por ejemplo, afirman que worldcoin puede brindar el acceso a servicios financieros a personas que no lo tenían. Hay otros proyectos verdaderamente de web3 que están resolviendo ese asunto.

Basically, the operation is not very complex, with the orbs, they scan the iris, they affirm that it is not invasive and it is fast. Now, once the eye is scanned, the identity that I had already mentioned is created. That is, the human eye is the key to creating the wallet, this process has been called:

"Proof of personhood"

Apparently it is the elemental component of the project, since they assure with such a mechanism the ability to differentiate a human from an artificial intelligence, because apparently, this is one of the challenges we are going to face and that in some way we are already facing. And that Worldcoin promises to solve.

Although that verification of identity promises privacy, everything points to the contrary. Since it is not really a decentralized or open source project. At this point we must make a distinction, not everything that is built in blockchian is web3, but everything that is web3 is blockchain. I wonder:

• Why is it not an open source project?

• Why didn't they implement their own blockchain?

• Why is it not really decentralized?

Although the document and the project propose and sell the worldcoin token as a novel solution and as a dream of opportunities, I think it is really far from that. There are a series of benefits that they want to sell us to the project as the panacea, for example, they affirm that worldcoin can provide access to financial services to people who did not have it. There are other truly web3 projects that are solving that issue.

Afirman una mayor inclusión económica, eso creo que es un reto que tenemos que afrontar con el replanteamiento del sistema y crear tecnología que afiance nuevos valores que deben nacer desde la filosofía. También afirman reducción de la pobreza, pero para ello hay que lograr un cambio filosófico en el sistema.

Personalmente Worldcoin no me inspira demasiada confianza, creo que no accedería de manera libre y espontanea a escanearme el iris del ojo, aunque sé que muchas personas lo harán por recibir el airdrop. Pero, siento que es básicamente una compra de tus datos a muy bajo precio.

Lo más irónico del asunto, es que lo que pretenden es diferenciar al ser humano de las inteligencias artificiales, y precisamente, los Orbes se valen de una inteligencia artificial para recopilar los daros.

They claim a greater economic inclusion, I think that is a challenge that we have to face with the rethinking of the system and create technology that reinforces new values that must be born from the philosophy. They also claim a reduction in poverty, but for this a philosophical change in the system is required.

Personally, Worldcoin does not inspire me much confidence, I do not think I would freely and spontaneously scan my iris, even though I know many people will do it to receive the airdrop. But I feel it is basically a purchase of your data at a very low price.

The most ironic thing about the matter is that what they pretend is to differentiate the human being from the artificial intelligences, and precisely, the Orbs use an artificial intelligence to collect the data.
