Hive: Un uso alternativo del internet

El internet es sin lugar representa de las mayores revoluciones comunicacionales de nuestra historia. Muchos le equiparan con la invención de la escritura otros con la invención de la imprenta, pero, otros estudiosos un poco más atrevidos como Antonio Arnaldo Pasquali Greco y Enrique Alí González Ordosgoitti piensan que el internet puede representar una revolución comunicacional equiparable con la invención de la lengua.

De vez en cuando suelo visitar los portales web de algunas revistas universitarias, hoy me puse a curiosear la revista LOGOI y me topé con un ensayo escrito por Enrique Alí González Ordosgoitti (quien fue mi profesor) en honor a Pasquali titulado Ver Internet con los ojos de Pasquali. Tras la lectura del ensayo han venido varias ideas y reflexiones a mi mente.

No puedo dejar reflexionar en torno a Hive y mientras leía el ensayo pensaba en como Hive sin pretensiones busca posicionarse como un verdadero intento de democratización del internet gracias a su protocolo y sus bases que caracterizan su ADN de su desarrollo sobre blockchain.

En el ensayo se hace referencia a dos metáforas bastante interesantes: “La Conquista del Lejano Oeste” y “La Necesidad del Sheriff” ambas metáforas exponen puntos de vistas que nos invitan a reflexionar en torno a nuestra relación con el internet.

La primera (La conquista del lejano oriente) evidencia cierta búsqueda de la realización de cada persona por conseguir circunstancias personales y sociales más libres, el internet ha expandido los horizontes de posibilidad en este aspecto. Sabemos que el internet ha nacido como un desarrollo militar, pero, entusiastas de la tecnología con profunda vocación democrática le han dado una vuelta o quizá varias vueltas al uso del internet.

Hive, es sin duda un giro en las posibilidades de uso del internet siendo un desarrollo alternativo que nos permite una relación con el internet radicalmente diferente y sin duda mucho más libre y con la posibilidad de edificar nuevos modelos de negocio e incentivos.

La segunda de las metáforas (La necesidad del Sheriff) como bien menciona Ordosgoitti en su ensayo ""No creemos posible ni deseable, la conformación de Organismos para reglamentar Internet."* Un Sheriff es básicamente la figura de una autoridad que dictamina qué es licito o no en el uso de internet.

¿Acaso lo políticamente correcto puede ser dictaminado de manera tiránica? Creo que preguntarnos por el reino de lo posible en el internetland y la respuesta a tal cuestión parece inclinarse y apostar por una figura de control. Pero,han habido comunidades que se han mantenido firme frente a la idea de control y pienso que Hive posee una de esas comunidades que ven más allá de la imposición de una figura de control sea de manera dura o de manera blanda.

De ese modo pensar en Hive como un uso alternativo de internet no es otra cosa que pensar en un modo alternativo de comunicarnos, el entorno digital puede proponer horizontes que promuevan una libertad más autentica. Creo que en la historia de Hive se ha combatido de manera eficiente a la "fakenews" ya que en los canales comunicativos de Hive se promueve e incentiva la creación creativa al servicio de la verdad.

Es cierto que el internet interpela a los campos culturales de toda índole, aunque la costumbre impuesta por el sistema causa resistencia en la batalla por una comunicación más libre y fundamentalmente democrática. Un ejemplo de dicha resistencia es como en el ámbito académico y universitario aun no encuentra cabida en entornos blockchain como Hive, es allí donde nacen respuestas de parte de la comunidad.

Proyectos como HiveTalk o Humanitas son visiones que buscan irrumpir con eficacia las barreras que han impedido un acercamiento prolífico. Es por ello que invito a la constante reflexión en torno al ecosistema tradicional comunicacional dentro de internet y como podemos trascender las dicotomías y superar los retos.

Cuando leía el ensayo antes mencionado y que invito puedas leer, me identificaba con la latente preocupación de Pasquali y retomada por Ordosgoitti de cara al internet. Quizá en este breve articulo, no profundizo demasiado, pero, mi intención es crear debates y poder arrojar ideas que puedan nutrir o proporcionar perspectivas de cara los problemas actuales.

Hive: An Alternative Use of the Internet

The Internet is undoubtedly one of the greatest communicational revolutions in our history. Many equate it with the invention of writing, others with the invention of the printing press, but other more daring scholars such as Antonio Arnaldo Pasquali Greco and Enrique Alí González Ordosgoitti think that the Internet can represent a communicational revolution comparable to the invention of language.

From time to time I usually visit the web portals of some university magazines, today I started to browse the magazine LOGOI and I came across an essay written by Enrique Alí González Ordosgoitti (who was my professor) in honor of Pasquali entitled Seeing the Internet through Pasquali's eyes. After reading the essay several ideas and reflections have come to my mind.

I can't help but reflect on Hive and while reading the essay I was thinking about how Hive unpretentiously seeks to position itself as a true attempt to democratize the internet thanks to its protocol and its foundations that characterize its DNA of its development on blockchain.

Two rather interesting metaphors are referenced in the essay: "The Conquest of the Far West" and "The Necessity of the Sheriff " both metaphors expose points of view that invite us to reflect on our relationship with the internet.

The first one (The Conquest of the Far East) evidences a certain search for the realization of each person to achieve freer personal and social circumstances, the internet has expanded the horizons of possibility in this aspect. We know that the Internet was born as a military development, but technology enthusiasts with a deep democratic vocation have given a twist or perhaps several twists to the use of the Internet.

Hive, is undoubtedly a twist in the possibilities of using the internet being an alternative development that allows us a radically different relationship with the internet and certainly much freer and with the possibility of building new business models and incentives.

The second of the metaphors (The need for the Sheriff) as Ordosgoitti mentions in his essay "We do not believe it is possible or desirable, the creation of organizations to regulate the Internet "* A Sheriff is basically the figure of an authority that dictates what is legal or not in the use of the Internet.

Can political correctness be tyrannically dictated? I think the question of the realm of the possible in internetland and the answer to that question seems to lean towards and bet on a figure of control. But, there have been communities that have stood firm against the idea of control and I think Hive has one of those communities that see beyond the imposition of a control figure in either a hard or soft way.

So thinking of Hive as an alternative use of the internet is nothing more than thinking of an alternative way of communicating, the digital environment can propose horizons that promote a more authentic freedom. I believe that in the history of Hive the "fakenews" has been fought efficiently, since the communicative channels of Hive promote and encourage creative creation in the service of truth.

It is true that the Internet challenges cultural fields of all kinds, although the custom imposed by the system causes resistance in the battle for a freer and fundamentally democratic communication. An example of this resistance is how in the academic and university environment there is still no place for blockchain environments such as Hive, and it is there where responses from the community are born.

Projects such as HiveTalk or Humanitas are visions that seek to effectively break down the barriers that have prevented a prolific approach. That is why I invite constant reflection on the traditional communicational ecosystem within the Internet and how we can transcend the dichotomies and overcome the challenges.

When I read the aforementioned essay, which I invite you to read, I identified myself with the latent concern of Pasquali and taken up by Ordosgoitti in the face of the Internet. Perhaps in this brief article, I do not go too deep, but, my intention is to create debates and to be able to throw ideas that can nourish or provide perspectives in the face of the current problems.
