The House Always Wins.

Advice..png

My advice/ warning to fifteen years old me would be simple. Don't gamble. Because sooner or later you will lose. Sure in anime and movies were are characters who win all the time. But you are not one of them. Don't play the games that relay on chance. If you will get lucky a few times you will likely not stop until you lose it all. I spent way too much time and Hive playing Hive slot games. Dice, blackjack, video poker... They all have one thing in common- I am destined to lose at all of them eventually. I did win(and staked) probably a few thousands Hive. But I believe that I still lost far more than that because I was not able to stop while I was winning(or better yet-before I started.) In blackjack I tried to follow basic strategy charts I found online. In dice I also came up with some ,,strategies''. Like betting below 50 for three times in a row then betting on above 50 and then betting below 50 again. Or increasing the bet after getting it wrong a few times in a row. I thought that this way I would be more likely to at least get even or getting some profits. But my ,,strategies'' were foolish. Sometimes the dice rolled below/ above 50 like 8-10 times in a row and no matter what strategy I used collapsed. But the worst thing was that while I was winning I assumed that I will continue winning and played until I would get broke. Again. And Again. I still believe that watching someone else gabling can be entertaining. Few of my favorite animes are about gambling as well. And one of my favorite creations of mine also was about gambling. But in the end of the day I am not as smart as Tokuchi Toua(from One Outs). So if I will gamble the house will always win in the end. So the only way to beat the house for me is not to gamble at all.

While I think that I am done gambling with dice/blackjack I am still making one final bet. On crypto. I believe that Bitcoin and Hive are the future of this world. The way I see it the world would be doomed without crypto. So I hope that it will succeed. Surely at some point enough people will open their eyes and accept crypto...right?

If gambling would be profitable, then all casino would close, simple as that... The only way to win at betting is trading with an exchange

And when you lose you go even heavier to get back the loss, resulting in losing even more in and endless loop

Gambling is addictive and it's a habit that's difficult to stop. I'm thankful that no one in the family likes to gamble. There are times though when we go to the casino, but not to gamble, just to relax a bit as they also have free entertainment here, and also just to be in a different atmosphere for a moment.

Gambling is about lose, and the best of scenarios, equality with the house, the incomes are to a minority
