Fiery plays Mass Effect 2 part 9: What lies in the Horizon?

In this part we spoke with Illusive Man. He told us that human colony Horizon is either under attack of Collectors or soon will be. Also our old crewmate Ashley Williams was stanioned on Horizon.After that Illusive Man asked if Professor Mordin has created protection from Collectors seeker swarms who paralyze people. It turns out that Mordin did have a solution for this.

After that we traveled to Horizon. Illusive Man's information was correct- the colony was under attack. First Collectors sent seeker swarms to paralyze colonists. After that they came to take people on their ship.

We found a survivor mechanic on Horizon. He blamed the Alliance and and Ashley Williams for the Collectors attack. After talking with him and fighting some collectors we contacted the Normandy and asked EDI to use defence towers to fend of Collectors. EDI informed us that this will take time so we should take defensive positions and hold on. After a few waves of enemies we were attacked by a creature called the Praetorian. We managed to slay it and defend the colony. EDI used the towers and the Collector ship escaped with about half of the colony. Survivor mechanic came to complain some more. But he was interrupted by our friend Ashley Williams. Then we spoke Ashley. She was glad to see us back among the living but angry that we joined Cerberus. She refused our offer to join the crew again.

Once we came back to the Normandy we spoke with Illusive Man. He revealed that he leaked information to Alliance that Horizon may be attacked. That is why Ashley Williams was sent there. After that we spoke with our crew. Jacob and Miranda asked us to do favors for them. Jacob wanted to find his missing father and Miranda wanted our help protecting her sister from their father. We also got a call from admiral Hackett. He asked us to rescue operative from batarian space. After that we started flirting with Jack. She offered Shepard a quick one night stand but we refused and said that we want to know her first.
