Fiery plays Disco Elysium part 14: Case Closed?

Most of the screenshots in this post I already used in this post but there I focused more about what I liked in each shot. This time I will try to tell what happened in those moments captured in these screenshots.

Last time we found out that kids in fishing village learned to swear from a radio they heard near the abandoned building. We also decided that Ruby(One of the leaders of Hardie Boys and our prime suspect for murder of mercenary Lely) must be hiding in that building. We went inside and found Ruby...and walked into a trap she set for us. She was using some kind of radio device as a weapon against us. She had a normal weapon but not a sniper rifle. Ruby convinced us that she did not kill Lely and only helped Hardie Boys to hang the dead body. We then broke her radio weapon/ device. Then Ruby tried to kill herself but we stopped her and let her flee free.

This time we walked back to the city and saw that a group of mercenaries wanted to slaughter Hardie Boys as a revenge for Lely death. We at first attempted to reason with mercenary leader. But it was not going anywhere and he tried to kill a civilian girl who was not even really part of Hardie Boys. We took this a sign that talking will be pointless and shot mercenary leader in the face and started a shootout. We got shot as well but our armor saved our life.

Once we woke up we found out that our other suspect the dancer has run away. She left a note saying that she did not kill Lely. She also left us a gift- she did ballistics of the shot that killed Lely. Ballistics indicated that bullet was fired from the island.

Then we spoke with Titus Hardie. He thanked us for helping his gang in battle against the mercenary group. It turns out that few of his men were killed in that fight. It seems that Titus is at least a half decent guy after all. So we parted on good terms.

Then we went to fishing village and sailed to the island on a boat.

In the island we found an old man. He had a sniper rifle. Sadly we failed to get his confession so his motives for the murder remained unclear...But we still caught a killer so that is most important, right?

Then something weird happened. We encountered a giant bug that should not be real. But it seems that this was no hallucination- our main character Harry has been sober for around a week. And officer Kim saw the bug as well.

After that we sailed back to the fishing village. There two men and a woman already waited for us. It turns out that these characters we met before were wearing disguises in our previous meetings. But in truth they were our squad that Ruby mentioned in the last part. One of the two men was here to diagnose us and decide if we are still fit to be a cop. We told our squad what we did during the entire game. They seemed to be more or less satisfied with our actions. Officer Kim spoke in our favor and said that we are one of best cops he ever worked with. Then we invited officer Kim to move to our station. After that the game ended. It is a shame that we could not discover killer's motives but in the end we solved the case. This game is a true gem and I had a lot of fun playing it. Sadly it seems to be one of the kind and I can't find anything similar to it...I think that sequel to this game could be awesome but that seems unlikely. Because from what I found out the developers of the game has a some kind of takeover? Apparently some of the main devs and writers got fired so the company who made this game is basically gone and all that remains is their studio name...Real shame.
