RE: Cute birds, and a sad ending of the butterfly chrysalis.

So sad to see that it did not make it in the end. Luckily, as we hope, there are more of them that will keep the process going. I always see so many empty shells on the walls, so there must be more out there!

And it is wonderful to see all of the birds in your garden (and wherever you travel to). We are blessed with so much beauty out there in Somerset! Even here in PTA, there are fantastic and wonderful bird life. I am just way too slow to catch them in the act with my camera. But with more patience, I might capture them.

I hope you are feeling better.

The lesson was to keep the pupae protected from the sun, and I am sure that we will get the next one right.

Oh yes, we are blessed here in Somerset with birdlife, and I know that the bird life in PTA, and even further up north, is also stunning. Patience is very important and also practice, but I am sure that you will get it right. Eventually. !LOL

My 3rd iron infusion will take place tomorrow. It was a 3 week series every Wednesday, with two vials per session. After tomorrow we have to wait for 6 weeks, and then I will go for a blood test to see if it worked.

Again, and as always, so sorry for the long delay in reply. It was a couple of hectic weeks, and I predict the next couple of weeks will be just as busy and crazy. I am marking again, but in between all of the marking I have the PhD, a couple of book chapters, and articles that I need to write, and I am also preparing for next semester in which I will give class again. But I am not complaining!

I hope that your iron infusion went well, and that you are possibly feeling better already?

Patience is surely a virtue. We went to the Kruger the weekend, and I got some amazing shots of not only all of the usual animals, but birds. The amount of bird species there is just amazing. Wish I could stay longer and spend days on end just looking at the birds.

No problem and I am happy that you are busy. That PhD must surely by now close to its end?

I had the last of the 3 fusions last week, and too soon for it to have an effect, as it must first make the new red blood cells in my body. Due for a blood test in 6 weeks time.

Yep! Kruger is indeed filled with bird life. Maybe you can spend a longer time there when the PhD is done methinks. !LOL
