Volunteering at an organic farm in Cianorte, Brasil

Quite an intense experience I've been having here, so many contrasts in this place. On one hand, this is the most balanced place I've ever been in regarding food production and ecological responsibility. I'm sure there's better places, but I'm just speaking of what I've seen so far. On the other hand, things feel too cold and calculated for me.

In many eco-oriented places, productivity tends to be rather low in terms of food, though if you look at it from a broader perspective, there's also plenty of medicine and other goodies to get from the land. But here they produce a solid amount of food, yet there's no other kind of interaction with the land so it becomes a bit dull for my liking.

Anyhow, I'm trying to soak in as much of the order and discipline I observe is practiced here, without accepting the social bs that goes on, as we clearly do not agree on political views or expectations of life. Gossip and foul stories about the people living here have been reaching my ears and I want none of it. I'm just here to work, learn, and move on.

I'll share more soon, there's some great places in the vecinity, even an ecological sanctuary which I hope to visit when possible. Till next one!
