Arrived at Caaguazú, a nice and interesting place to explore
After nearly 8 months I've decided to leave Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, and continue my travels towards the Amazonian jungle. It was a tough decision as I made many friends and carved out a comfort zone for myself in the city, but there is a longing within me to arrive at my original destination.
My phone battery is nearly dead and I can't take many pictures because it turns off when not connected to a power source. Here I'm waiting for a flourless pizza which was surprisingly good and satisfying.
Anyways, the road hasn't been very enchanting as it's been mainly transiting through soy and corn plantations. After a night sleeping in the tent, I payed a hotel room to enjoy some comfort and restore my hygiene. The hotel was a bit expensive but it's nice, clean, and a good option as it has been a bit rainy.
The journey wasn't as easy as I expected, there was a lot of raining and the towns I went through had little social activity. They lacked the typical spots where I play and make money so my wallet started to empty very quickly paying for hotel rooms and food. I arrived at Saltos De Guairá, which was a nice looking town and I spent the night at a hotel called Don Juan which was very luxurious for it's low price so I recommend it for anyone traveling there.
The next day I had to decide whether to push my luck and stay on that route or return to a more urban area to refill my wallet and I chose the latter, taking a bus back south except this time to a new city called Caaguazú. At first I was a bit doubtful of my decision but after finding a nice room to rent and realizing I had many useful places nearby I knew it was a good decision.
It's nice here because there's even more vegetation than in the previous city I was in and there's plenty of fruit trees in the yard where I rent. There's also a farmers market nearby and a university where I'm making consultations to study Guaraní language during the time I'm here. I have some supermarkets and traffic lights where I can play music close by as well so it's a pretty good place to have arrived at.
Thanks for stopping by, have a great week 🙏🎵🙌
Thanks!
