MY JOURNEY IN THIS YEAR: NEW MEMORIES, NEW FRIENDS AND NEW LEARNINGS (MY INTRODUCTORY POST)
Hi everyone. My name is Miraflor from the Philippines. I was originally from the “Land of Promise” but now I’m residing here in Taytay Rizal (known as Capital Garments of the Philippines). I am the youngest of two siblings. I was born under Pisces. I’m married with 3 kids, one girl and two boys. My eldest is 4 years old, second is 2 years old and the youngest is just 2 months old.
I've been working as a Collection Specialist for 8 years. My job is a bit challenging where I manage accounts receivable. Need to monitor client accounts and notify them when payments become overdue. I can say that collector’s work is stressful because sometimes I encounter irate, angry clients. I also face rejection but still need to talk in a positive manner. Despite this kind of work, I manage it properly and work with a smile. And this is because of the love of my family.
This year 2026, I'm planning a career shift with a focus on work life balance. Where I can have time with my family, especially with my kids.
I am simple person. I appreciate the little things in life and it makes me happy. I am easy going ,loyal, responsible type of person.
I love cooking, listening to music, reading, exploring new things and one of my favorite hobbies is writing, where I can tell everything and express my thoughts. It is also a way that we can connect with other people. I love to join groups on social media platforms to hear different stories in life from different people. I love to meet and make new friends especially with similar interests. It helps me improve self confidence and a feeling of self-worth. Until one day I met mam Antonette on Facebook while scrolling. I am onboarded by @antonette and-she told me the opportunity to write . She helps me to understand the rules and policies in posting that I must use my own pictures(original). I also need to engage and post in the community and I must not use AI in all posts and engagements because plagiarism is not allowed in Hive.
I’m happy that I found this platform that will help me enhance my writing skills and at the same time explore people from different places.
