The Act Of Reincarnation: Alchemy Of Soul In The Real World.

Reincarnation is something that has to do with a person coming back to life again with the same soul.

This is according to the Merriam-Webster definition.

As an anime fan, I have come across different anime that have to do with reincarnation, and this kind of anime is known as Isekai. From what I have watched, one thing is always common: the reincarnated people always have memories of their past life. This now brings me to the question I am about to ask:

Is it possible to be reborn with your previous life's memory?

I have heard many stories and seen different news reports where something like this is possible. I once read a story of a child who, after reaching the age of 5, started telling his parents he was in the wrong body and wanted to go see his wife.

Crazy, right? The parent thought it was some sort of mental illness, but the more he spoke, the more he felt sure of what he was saying. He gave names, addresses, and information that the parent had to check and confirm if it was true. They later discovered it was true and then took him to see his wife and kids.

I can't remember how the story ended, but there are two stories like that. A male and a female from India, or so.

Cool, right? Having a second chance at life with all the memories of the past, aren't we asking the wrong question? We all want to know if it's possible or not, so we can have a chance at it, but the real question we should be asking is

"How would you feel when you discover the soul of your child is an old woman or an old man?"

The fact that many people want reincarnation to be real, they did not consider the psychological effect it would have on the human race. I also read that reincarnation doesn't always have to be you being born into another human body. A person can be reincarnated as an earthworm, a bird, a fish, and so on, and all these things also die. If they die, what's next? Do they get reincarnated, or do they face judgment as it was written in the Holy Scripture?

Since I want reincarnation to be something real, I would just have to accept the fact that it is not. I am not ruling out the fact that there is a slight chance that I believe in it. One thing I have come to understand in this marvelous world God created is that anything is possible. With stories heard, they might be true; they might be false, but for it to be a thing, then there are some iota of truth in it.

Maybe people misunderstand the way it works. If I have a son who looks like my father and behaves in certain ways, he did. Will I say my father has been reincarnated? Nah, they are just traits that are passed through genetic form.

If my dad returns with the same memories in the form of my son, instead of me, to celebrate reincarnation, it might just ruin my parenthood for life.
