My Experience On Account Boosting

As a man who loves innovation and upgrades, I’m always out there looking for new ideas and updates on the hive frontend. Ecency has always come up with new updates and innovations and there are so many news things that are ongoing, you would see it easily if you’re a frequent user of ecency.

Well, I’m not here to discuss about the new innovations but my experience with the account boosting. Few weeks ago, there was an upgrade on Ecency, both the web and app version. One of the distinguish upgrade I found amazing was the boosting upgrade. I’m sure it has always been there, and I’ve seen it countless times but it never got my attention until the new upgrade.

In the new upgrade, you can boost your account, there are benefits to boosting your accounts which I enjoyed the experience after boosting mine. Actually, there are different boosting packages and I did mine in the app

The first boosting was for 7days and it cost 1,500 Ecency point. The others are 30days and 90days with their respective points to them. After boosting my account for 7days to see what it entails. Something you should know, if you want to boost your account in the app, you should login with your active key and not your posting key. The reason is because your active key is required for the transaction to take place, if you’re not logged in with your active key, you will get a notification like this

The first benefit I got was the delegation of over 200HP

You should understand what extra HP means. It means, your voting power has increased and you can do more. Remember, the higher the voting power, the more return you expect when you vote for people. Although voting 100% too frequent will reduce your voting mama and you might not have the mana to vote again if it is out.

My Thoughts.

I think it is a good upgrade. One thing I noticed was that, after I boosted my account for 7days. It was like I had limited time to do some things and I have to do this things within the given time. For the past seven days, I can say I have been more active than the previous days I have spend on Ecency. I upvoted a lot with the HP given to me. The returns are great and if I had more point I would boost my account again. I’m working towards earning more point and with the way things are going, I think I would buy.

Suggestion

A little suggestion for the Ecency team. I don’t know if it’s possible to integrate a dex where HBD or Hive can be swap for Ecency point. If it’s possible, it would be great, if not we would have to buy it one way or the other.

I like it for the HP delegations as we need resource credits especially to create more content on Ecency and other microblogging projects. This solves the hp problems as well as a good use case for the Ecency points.

I'm loving the new boost option too :) Hopefully we will see even more choices on how to use Ecency points in the future 🙏

I think it was because some curators see it as a self vote to boost one's own post, so it was removed to eliminate the negativity
