AWAKEN THE SPIRIT IN YOU: No One Will!

The day I realize I’m alone in this world,
was the day I turned twelve,
the wishes of a happy birthday were like echos in the desert,
I cried and felt my heart delve.

I waited for my mother,
I waited patiently for my father,
But found no one,
Then I realized, I was truly alone.

The embrace of my extended family,
Were like the duck in the hands of a hunter,
A meal a day,
But an education they gave.

Wisdom and understanding were my best friends,
But none were glad,
I counted my blessings,
But I couldn't name them one by one.

I graduated with honors,
Education said, "Enough,"
I cried and cried,
Fell ill, herbs were my only love

Sorrow held me by the throat,
Pain became a perpetual visitor,
Hunger watched me every day,
Waiting for the day to steal my light.

And I survived,
Then why can’t you?
Awaken the spirit in you,
Because you can pull through.

Your determination will become your sailing ship,
Your mindset leads you,
Your positive being encourages,
You say no and yes, it’s all you.

You can survive,
Determination and mindset will lead you there,
Awaken your spirit, oh soldiers,
Awaken your spirit, oh warriors fair.

Awaken your spirit, oh leaders,
Awaken your spirit, oh future of tomorrow,
We are the heroes,
We are the survivors, beyond sorrow.

Rise with courage,
Let your fire ignite,
In the face of struggle,
Hold your vision tight.

For within you lies a warrior,
Strong and bold,
Awake your fighting spirit,
Let your story be told.

Face each challenge,
With heart and might,
You are your own hero,
Embrace the fight.

We are the warriors,
In a world that's tough,
Together, we rise,
For we are enough.
