Which one is better? Urban or rural settlement.

What a beautiful way to wrap up the week. Everyone needs a good settlement. Whatever we do in life is determined by certain factors and reasons. One of the liberty God has given to man is in the area of decision making. You're the product of your decision. For this edition, the focus is on if I had a choice if not because of security and money which one would I preferred rural or Urban. Which one amongst them do I prefer? Before I proceed I will like to shade more light on both types of settlements.

Urban areas are made up of cities and towns that have quite numbers of people, building, and high rate of activities. The rate of business activities is higher than the rural settlement. Infact urban areas are centers of commerce while rural areas on the other hand are country side or villages that has small numbers of people, no traffic or business transactions. It's a very good site for farming, and other agricultural activities.

Some of the advantages of urban areas includes; Better infrastructure. As I said earlier cities and lots of things are cited in the cities such as good road, transport vehicles, electricity supply. The road network about a city is always amazing. Another good advantage why urban areas are better than the rural is in the place of job opportunities. There are lots of opportunities for job in the city. Most industries are found in the cities hence it makes it possible for people to be gainfully employed and render their services. For instance in Abuja which happens to be the federal capital territory of Nigeria hosts several Nigerians for work. Both casual and main staff gained opportunity to deliver their quota in the development of the nation.

The advantage of urban area of good health care facilities. Apparently the comparison between rural and urban areas in terms of health care can't be overemphasized. Most of the ultra sound facilities we have today are found in the urban areas such specialist hospital, medical centers etc.

Educational system. The urban settlement has a good educational management system compared to the rural area. Since I grew up and attained adulthood I have never seen a good school being established in the rural. Infact statistically all good schools are found in urban areas. Another advantage of the urban area is in the aspect of technological advancement. Urban areas have good Internet connectivity etc.

Advantages of Rural areas; No matter how rural a place the issue of space and nature can't be overemphasized. Accessibility to nature , farm land, etc is quite amazing when it comes to rural areas. There is also peaceful environment and it has less issue of pollution compared to urban areas.

I was discussing with a friend just yesterday and he blatantly told me that life in the cities is more expensive. Everything you buy at a high amount of money but in the rural areas with little amount of money one could just afford something good and great. Another advantage is in the aspect of security. Rural areas can provide opportunities for farming.
