Since the advancement in technology, there has been lots of changes that has occured to human and the entire ecosystem. Without any doubt or reservation, technological advancement has brought progresses and better the life of an individual in the present world.
Taking advantage of this opportunity makes life beautiful and enjoyable. The impact of technology is felt in all facets of human endeavor.

We are living in the digital age where everything is computerized. Weather you like it or not this can't be disputed easily. The subject today focuses on the digital relationship and how it can be maintained. As I usually say, there are different choices God has given us and whichever we choose the resultant effect boomerang on us. Digital relationship is that kind of relationship that both partners aren't close instead social media handle is used to enhance the relationship.

Digital relationship entails the kind of relationship that is practiced in the present globalize world. It can also be called modern way of relationship which is different from what is practiced today either via computer or other technological one.

In today's world, partners mustn't be at the same location before they continue in a relationship. I could remember my cousin though the relationship ended up in dreadlock however he proposed to a lady online via Facebook. They spent months together but when the issue of marriage came up, they couldn't proceed with their intentions. I couldn't ascertain the exact reason why they parted ways.

Even though some relationship never worked via digital means but there are other people that started their relationship online and today they are wonderfully married. All these opportunities as I said earlier depends on how you leverage on it. Personally I don't counsel people to stick only on the digital relationship alone but it should be backed up with some physical meetings so the you would know the value of what you are going for.

I did digital relationship before getting married to my dear wife. We spent almost one year without seeing each because of NYSC. One of our major means of communication was through phone call and Whatsapp. It wasn't funny because sometimes the network fluctuates which could interrupt the conversation.

some of the ways to maintain digital relationship includes;

• There should be alternatives to communication sources. When there is no adequate channel of communication, it would affect virtually every thing. Any relationship that has no good communication tiles won't last long. One guy couldn't marry last year due to lack of good communication skills. He hardly communicate with the lady even in a week. It was a though time for them.
• Another vital factor to be considered in maintaining a digital relationship is to define things and set boundaries. Be known for a particular thing and endeavor to maintain the standard. You're not close therefore try and be committed to the relationship. Be sincere and don't cheat on each other.
