Happy new month to everyone reading this write up. March was superb but I strongly believed that this new month would be better than the previous ones. It's been wonderful participating in the contest in this community. Special thanks to the management crew for their unalloyed efforts in ensuring smooth run of this precious community.

Today is the first day in the month of April. Growing up as a child, I over heard people playing all kinds of pranks once it's April 1st. This kept me wondering until I started taking responsibility and my perspective about things began to take another dimension. Then I realized what April fool entails. Is a day set aside to deceive or make fool an individual.

I remembered being deceived like that by my classmate then. One faithful day, I was sitting down at home, one of them says we should go to school for lessons. Abruptly I washed my face and walk down straight to school. I never knew it was April fool. On my way, they started shouting April fool...ha...I opened my mouth wondering what was happening. I was happy because it hurts and I would have achieved something better but wasted it moving aimlessly. I was angry at my friend that tricked me.

April fool shouldn't be acceptable by the society as a day to prank.What are the benefits of playing over people's intelligence? Well may be it promotes social existence or perhaps a means to engage people to live in harmony.
I have never seen someone that was deceived in the name of April fool that was happy because the consequences always ends in hurt. Before you would realize it you would have been cheated. Sometimes even after that, they won't refund it to you.
In as much as it could be for fun but it has created rift amongst many other people. I have heard of how some friends lost their relationship due to this singular act.

Should April fool be scrapped? If we would continue with this kind of wrong perspective about the first day of a month. I think if a good policy wouldn't be set to curb this it would really help out. I don't think it's nice to have a full day like this just for deceiving people.

Conclusion

April fool could be scrapped and it can be re-evaluated to clarify the intention of people. A better name can be given instead of April fools. I doubt whether I have been a subscriber of April fool.
