I want to warmly welcome you to my blog this moment. I want to share one of the pressing thing that is happening within the circumference of our educational system especially exams. Though not just limited to these factors but there are many more sha.

The rate at which students fail exams these days is so alarming. This year's JAMB mass failure left me thinking of what will become of the next generation. Let's critically examine why the rate of failure in our nation is growing on a daily basis. As an educationist, I have come to observe some facts that led to the failure of students. First to be noted is the decline ask the standard of education. Several schools in this nation presently lack the necessary facilities to care for the students.

There is a serious decline in the standards in the sense that most government-owned schools are not up to standard, limiting structures and teachers to deliver on their duties. This has led some parents to move their children to a private school. Some of these private schools are not up to standard; everyone wants to own a school.

The school is understaffed, and they are not paying the staff well. Some schools change staff due to the little salary the staff collects.
Another factor to be considered is the fact that malpractice is on the high increase. The secondary schools are not well equipped, and these same students go to write JAMB and WAEC; they end up failing because they don't have the necessary knowledge. Most of them end up using machinery to write exams. The fear I have now is not for me but for my kids. If we produce people who cannot write their names, what will they teach my children? Hmmm.

The last point I will consider now is the pressure from friends and relatives. People are not ready to face the shame that may come from people around so they just opt to use any means to pass the examination. This same situation is revolving, and we really need to do something about it, or else the next generation is in real trouble.

Our government needs to wake up to responsibility so as to bring a better footing to our educational sector. Furthermore, we have parents who are not ready to put in their best for their kids to be the best; what they just do is provide for school fees without considering the welfare of the children in school, forgetting that all factors need to be in place for the children to do well. Lastly, the teachers need a regular upgrade, and that will come through training and skill development.

I believe there's a great future ahead therefore all hands must be on deck to ensure that there is change in the area of exams in the educational sector of our dear nation.

Thanks for reading through and all comments appreciated.
