An Abandoned marital project

Wow this is an interesting theme for edition 2. I had to do a thorough brainstorming because I couldn't recall an abandoned project however after a while, I remembered vividly what happened to my late elder brother. I would like to share this experience because I was in the know of virtually everything or at least some vital stage of his life. The project I am about sharing is concerning his marriage how everything was halted.

My late elder was a very passionate and vision driven person that normally influences everyone that comes close to him towards a productive output in life. During his life span, he was able to affect hundreds of lives majority were youths while others adult. I couldn't remembered when I paid him visit a certain year, I saw quite a number of indigent students staying with him in his big apartment hmmmm perhaps he rented that for such purpose. There is no one that passes through his watch that doesn't become successful in life. I was shocked when I met some of the students he trained doing exploits at their different fields of life. Many were married blessed with beautiful kids.

My elder brother was in a relationship with a lady which progressed to the stage of marriage. He really loved her wholeheartedly and he was also a religious leader that believes strongly in living an exemplary lifestyle. He had no flair for social media and other social activities unlike the lady. With all these small variance, they were all optimistic about settling down together in marriage. He invest so much on her you know as a man. That's was a good note of doing such marital project. He was so serious and had to discuss with our parents for their consent and way forward. He received all approvals to proceed with the marital plans. He was able to go for first visit, introduced himself to her family and requested for a formal procedure to start the marriage process. At the end, a new date was given to him to come with his parents and friends for the collection of list for the traditional rites.

Joy overwhelmed my brother simply because a new phase of his life has been unraveled. He went and got all the necessary things needed to enable him access the list. After receiving the list, he was able to acquired all that it takes for what is called introduction. The next process supposed to traditional rites or wedding. Few weeks to the date, the lady said she wasn't interested again because my brother doesn't meet her standard and other internal issue based known to her. I thought it was just a play hmmm that was the end of the entire journey. Infact, I think out of anger my brother refused to even retrieved back his things again. The whole project ended in dreadlock.

• How did the project turned out?

Since everything was halted and couldn't proceed to traditional wedding, both of them parted ways. A broken relationship is better than a broken home. Later my elder got married five months before her.

Lessons

Is not compulsory to start a project till you finish even when you see danger and distraction that can't be managed. Though others may question your commitment but I feel it may save you.

Not all that glitters is gold. Time is a revealer of anything that is good and that can last.
