Wise words.
Hello everyone, welcome to my blog.
Education is one aspect of things we cannot do without, be it formal or informal. One needs to be educated to be able to navigate through life challenges. I'm not saying one cannot make it if he or she is not educated. What I'm trying to say is, you must have at least a little knowledge of education so that you can belong in society.
Though most people do not believe in school because of the way society is. It is pertinent for one to be literate to be able to deal with 21st century children.
School is a place we go to learn and acquire knowledge that will help us in our daily lives. With this knowledge learned and acquired, we can be successful in life and help others that may need our help.
Although sometimes, what we learn in school is not what we practice but the knowledge will be there to guide us.
Back to the question of the contest, “what advice would you give to someone leaving school today?”
Leaving school is a significant milestone, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. You will be filled with mix emotions, excitement, anticipation and some uncertainty. Leaving school can be overwhelming, but it's also an incredible opportunity to spread your winds and soar higher.
My advice for someone leaving school today is
Firstly, be open to learning. The moment you step out of school, you will realize that the real world is a vast classroom with endless lesson to learn. Therefore, be humble and willing to learn from your experiences, successes and failures because these will make you become stronger, wiser and a better version of yourself with the things learned. Learning is a continuous process that one cannot do without.
Secondly, develop a growth mindset. Always thing positive because the job market is constantly, evolving and it's essential to stay adaptable. Focus on developing skills that will help you in life and be willing to turn when necessary. Don't be afraid to ask questions where necessary because it will serve as a gate way to success.
Thirdly, learn to take calculated risk. Don't be afraid to take the road less traveled. Calculated risks can lead to immense rewards whether it's switching industries, starting your own venture or pursuing further education. In all these trust your instincts and take the leap. Also be curious because the world is full of mysteries waiting to be unraveled. Stay curious and keep exploring new adventures like things of interest, hobbies and passion. This will not only keep you engaged but will also help you discover new opportunities.
Finally, be patient because success rarely happens overnight. Be patient and focus on building a strong foundation, celebrate your small wins and don't compare your journey to someone else' wait for your time to come.
As you close this chapter and embark on a new journey, remember that the world needs your unique skills and talents. Make sure to stay true to yourself and never stop learning because we learn everyday and it will continue till we leave the earth. Never hind your talent from the world, showcase it and make good use of it.
These would be my advice to someone leaving school and how to navigate through the world of uncertainty.
