It was a cool evening, Flora and I were just strolling just to enjoy the cool evening. As we were walking down the street, a guy excused us “please can I talk to you?” He said pointing at Flora.

“Why do you want to talk to me,” Flora asked.

“Why not just listen to what he has to say.” I said to her.

I excused them by giving them a little space. They talked for sometime before the guy said goodbye with a smile on his face.

“What were you two discussing about” I eager to know.

“Ah! Faith, you will not even allow me to rest before asking me.”

“Talk nah, I can't wait to hear what he wanted from you.”

“He is asking me out.” Flora said.

“So what did you answer him.” I was curious to know.

“I told him I will think about it.” She replied.

As we continued our walk, I couldn't help but wonder what the future held for Flora and this mysterious guy, Joe. Little did l know, their chance encounter would blossom into something beautiful.

The next day, we ran into Joe on campus. The smile on his face when he saw Flora was unmistakable, and Flora's cheeks flushed slightly. Despite being from different departments, their connection grew stronger with each passing day and their love started becoming strong and I hardly saw my friend in the house. They continued with their love until we finished school. After our graduation, we went for our youth service. We were posted to different states but we still kept in touch.

Joe and Flora never stopped loving each other. When we returned, Flora and Joe's love remained unwavering, a testament to the power of true connection.

We started hunting for a job and luckily for us we were employed.

I was working one afternoon when I received a call from Flora inviting me for her introduction. I was happy for her and I congratulated her on the phone.

Two months after her introduction, she sent me an invite for her wedding, stating categorically that I must attend her wedding no matter what. I told her I can't miss her wedding for anything.

I was happy for them because what started like a play, blossomed into something cherishable.

After a year in their marriage, they were blessed with a bountiful baby girl and I became a godmother. I went visiting one day, as we were eating, Joe turned to Flora and whispered, "I believe our love was written in the stars from the very beginning." Flora smiled, her eyes shining with happiness. "I like to think so," she replied, "and that our journey together is still unfolding, just like the stars in the night sky."

I was just smiling because I admire their love so much. I remembered how they started and where they are today.

Years later, as they sat together on their porch, holding hands, and watching the stars twinkle above, they knew that their love was indeed written in the stars. That fateful evening that brought them together will not be forgotten in a hurry.
