Beekeeper 2024.....(movie review)

Have you ever stumbled upon a beehive or got sting by a bee? If your answer is no then we are in the same boat.

I haven't seen a beehive not gotten stung by a bee but I have read a lot about bees. They have a fairly organized structure and they operate a hierarchical ecosystem. Plus I love honey so bees are worth it.

When I stumbled upon this movie titled the Beekeeper, I thought the movie would talk mostly about bees....like a documentary and so I was fascinated but then I had to think twice when I saw Jason Statham as the lead role character.

I know Jason Statham's movies. He doesn't talk much with his mouth but he does with his fists. I knew the movie would be superb when I watched the trailer on #Youtube

Plot

The movie began with the defrauding and suicide of a retired school teacher, Eloise Parker who lives alone but shares a warm friendship with Adam Clay, (Jason Statham). He lived in her barn and quietly occupies himself with work as a keeper of bees.

Adam discovered her body when he came to have dinner with her and got arrested by FBI agent Verona Parker, Eloise's daughter.

After being cleared and released, he contacted a mysterious group called the Beekeepers for information that will help him find the people responsible and seek justice for Eloise, after some searching, they gave him an address for a call centre run by Mickey Garnett.

Adam storms the call centre and burn it down. Mickey's boss Derek Danforth instructs Mickey to kill Adam, who easily kill Mickey’s men and cut off some Mickey's fingers with a bandsaw. Mickey escapes and call Derek to warn him about Adam the Beekeeper, but Adam ambushes him and kills him by tying him to his car and sending it driving off the bridge. He picks up Mickey's phone and warns Derek that he is the next target.

A lot of paid assassin's were sent after Adam but one by one, he finishes them all. He was hell bent on cleaning out the hive because it was mal-structured.

He maneuvers his way into heavily guarded places where his next target would be until he found who he was looking for..the queen bee.

Turns out that it was her son that was in charge of scamming people out of their hard earned money. He claimed he used the money to organize his mom's campaign, so that she could win the election.

When Madam President was confronted by Adam, she admitted that she and her son were wrong ND that she would step down from being president but her ignorant son refused to behave and he got a bullet in his head. Seeing that the threat had finally been taken down, Adam escapes through the window. He finally got Justice for Eloise.

What I learnt

I learnt that as a parent, you need to let your child know when he or she is in the wrong. Over indulging a child can lead to a disaster in the future.

What I liked about beekeeper

I simply likes Jason Statham moves and action scenes. It was superb. I like the sense of Justice that he displayed, doing all he can to get the wrong doers.

I really did not dislike much about the movie. Just the fact that there were people who came together to scam innocent citizens and they were happy about it. So sad indeed.

I will give the movie a 4.3/5 stars because of Jason Statham action.
