My Public and Self-Perception #188

Happy new month to all Hivers! I hope this month brings you peace and joy.

This week’s contest revolves around a fascinating topic organized by @merit.ahama : how you see yourself versus how others see you. It’s a journey that can reveal a lot about our identities you aren't aware of.

I used to have a good friend who recently traveled out of Nigeria. Before traveling, each time we met, she would always ask me the same question: "How do you see me, is my character okay?"
She would ask, "How do you see my character and conduct? Am I still on track?" She wanted to know if she was still aligned with her values. It made me reflect deeply on my own perceptions.
Although no one can achieve 100% perfection as we expect, it's good to find a balance between how people see you and how you see yourself.

Because of this contest, I had to ask my friends to sincerely tell me about my behaviors since I encountered them.

Public Perception of Me
Based on the feedback I've received, people see me as someone who doesn't talk much, very gentle, and easygoing. I tend to avoid issues that could lead to arguments, even with close friends.

There's a friend of mine who is always brutally honest. She recently told me something I wasn't prepared to hear: she said I don't like to give. It's true, and I'll explain why shortly.

As I mentioned earlier, being a mom isn't always easy, especially when it comes to feeding kids. I am not trying to defend my self but it becomes even more burdensome when you receive little to no support from your partner and family, leaving you to bear the expenses of the kids alone. This situation has left me with little to no budgeting plan for giving. However, I am determined to change that.

My Self-Perception
I aspire to be a woman who serves as a beacon of inspiration and motivation for other young ladies. This week, I've planned to create enriching and inspiring posts for the young women of Hive, encouraging them to see themselves positively in this global world. Additionally, I strive to be a source of inspiration for people to draw closer to God. I actively participate in evangelism outreach services organized by my church.

One encounter that deeply touched me was with a single lady I reached out to. As we spoke, she confided in me about her past, filled with regrets and pain. She tearfully revealed that she had undergone several abortions because she couldn't afford to care for the children, and the man in her life wasn't fulfilling his responsibilities. she expressed doubts about ever finding forgiveness.

This experience made me realize that many people are struggling silently, carrying heavy burdens of guilt and shame. It reinforced my belief in the importance of introducing them to the Creator, who offers forgiveness and redemption.
Jesus came and died for our sins so that we no longer need to bear the weight of our past mistakes. It's crucial to acknowledge our past actions, seek forgiveness, and strive to lead a better life.

During my outreach, I also encountered another woman whose impending marriage was shattered when her past was exposed by a gossiper. I encouraged her not to dwell on her past but to believe that someday she would find another who would love her unconditionally.

Despite my own limited experiences, I aspire to be a source of encouragement and support to others facing similar challenges.

Aspiring to Be a Life Guide
Believe me, many young ladies are unsure about their purpose in life and why they were created. They often fall into a routine of waking up, going to school, coming home, and eventually getting married, without any clear skills or plans for their future. This is why I want to step in and be a guide, especially focusing on financial freedom for the ladies in my community.

If I can achieve these goals and make a meaningful impact, I will be forever grateful to God for the opportunity.

Thank you so much for reading this blog post. I wish you all a stress-free week filled with achievements as you set and pursue your goals. Many hugs, Bye for now!

Especially in this waving economy a times planning others in may be so difficult, but at the same time money is not the only thing to be given. Just know when the spirit leads you to give and respond. Keep up with the good work you are doing my dear

This is beautiful, you had to ask for the public thoughts on how they see you. I like that your friend always keeps herself in check that way.
You've got great plans ahead and I believe you'll achieve them.

If God blesses you such gifts along with a burden and passion to minister as a counselor why not use them to his glory? Find out if there are any individuals and organizations that have a mission statement that resonate with your calling @faithgifty34 ❤️
