Follow Your Passion Early In Life - Picture Worth a thousand Words
This is my entry for this week’s contest. Over the years, I’ve seen many people blindly chase passions they stumbled upon, only to end up filled with regret. Why? Because they never truly discovered themselves.
We are all created for different purposes. Some are meant to help others succeed through competition or motivation. Some are destined to become doctors and save lives. But this young man in the photo, he was born to be a boxer. He didn’t realize this at first, but everything changed the day he discovered his true path.
Describe what you see
I see a young man confidently showing off his boxing skills. His stance, focus, and energy speak volumes.
Describe what you feel
I imagine he came from a family that didn’t believe boxing was a worthy future for him. His parents probably had bigger dreams, sending him to good schools and offering him opportunities to pursue more “respectable” careers. Yet, despite all these efforts, he kept failing. He struggled academically, repeated classes, and couldn’t seem to fit into the path chosen for him.
Eventually, many people gave up on him. But everything changed when he stopped trying to be someone he wasn’t and embraced his dream of becoming a boxer. From that moment, things began to fall into place.
Write a story or poem or about what you think is going
There lived a young man named Noah. From the moment he was born, it was clear he had the spirit of a fighter. Though known for being quiet and calm, when pushed too far, he could unleash a force that could break down walls.
As he grew older, Noah began showing interest in local community fighting shows.
His parents, however, were not in support. They believed that boxing had no real future for him. Hoping to steer him in a different direction, they decided to send him abroad for his education. But even with all the opportunities they gave him, Noah struggled. He was passive in class, uninspired, and rejected from every department he tried to fit into.
Deep down, he knew school wasn’t his calling. What truly gave him joy was watching boxing especially WWE matches that aired every weekend. He never missed an episode. He’d train himself while watching, throwing punches in the air, imagining himself in the ring.
As time passed, his parents grew old and stopped trying to change his path. It was then that Noah took full control of his life.
One day, a national boxing contest was announced. Noah was chosen to represent his team, a team that had a history of constant defeat. But Noah saw this as his moment. He trained harder than ever before, fuelled by the desire to prove himself and lift his team.
On the day of the contest, Noah stepped into the ring, fully prepared and focused. With determination in his heart and strength in his fists, he fought and he won. He didn’t just win for himself; he won for a team that no one believed in.
This story reminds us of the importance of discovering our passion early in life and working towards it. While formal education is valuable, it’s even more powerful when it aligns with your purpose.
Thank you for reading. I hope this inspires you to follow your dreams.
Have a lovely day ahead. Bye for now!
