Wealth Sometimes Breeds Pride.

Wealth is power,and you cannot be where there is power without seeing pride to some certain extent, they are always found together.

We still find people who are wealthy that still try to act humble and nice, but within them there is still pride which will definitely show up at the right time or when you expected.

It is ok when you are wealth to leave a friend or loved ones who doesn't want to progress in his life, but what happens when you both are struggling together and you finally made it, can you swallow your bride and still be closed to the person even while they are waiting for their own time to come or you just neglect them as usual.

It's ok and acceptable to expect help from people close to us who have made it already, but it doesn't turn out to be so. These days we find people complaining of their closed ones neglecting and refused to help them when they finally made it. We later hear them later saying all man for himself, They are busy, and different excuses they offer to back up the fact on why they refused to help you.

I once had a cousin who used to live with us back then, we became very close when he was with us, we went to school together, played together and always had each other's back. Our bond was so strong that no one can break it. Even when we had misunderstanding, we tend to settle the issues immediately and come back clos again.

It came to the time when were about to get into the college, during this period of preparation we both applied for a foreign scholarship to study abroad. Fortunately after weeks of waiting the result came and only my cousin passed and was given the scholarship. although I felt bad for myself but I was happy for him, at least one of us got the scholarship that's the most important thing.

Time came for my cousin to move to the overseas to study and he prepared for the journey. We shared great moment together and I told him I would really mis him and he should go and make us proud.

My cousin arrived safely and few days after his arrival we started chatting on social media, and he was telling me how fun but stressful everything was over here, and he was also planning on taking a part time job here to still support himself.

Fast forward to few months later, my cousin ghosted me, the last time I heard from him is when he told me he has finally gotten a job. I don't if he thought I will be asking him for money or what, I never knew the reason but my cousin refused to reply my chats and messages. I got tired of trying to reach out to him that I stopped sending him further messages.

That was how our closeness started to fade away. I always said in my mind that it was because he has been exposed to wealth and pride came in. Whatever it maybe he had is own decision to make and how to live his life, he would always be my brother because he is part of my family and there is nothing can change that, whether we are close or not, but I learnt a lesson from that experience and I still stand with my conclusion that wealth sometimes breed pride.
