THE PLACE OF REGULATION AND DISCRETION IN VIOLENCE REDUCTION
Change is part of life with socialization, civilization and digitalisation playing a huge factor in the changes we experience especially in this century and age. All these have both positive and negative impacts with violence been a major negative effect of these 3 factors. Compared to aforetimes, violence is on the increase even as children at early age are exposed to scenes, movies, films and all sorts which actually requires parental guidance or viewers discretion but no supervision as to such.
Some movies are actually tagged "action movies" and some tagged "horror movies" with violent scenes involved in them which unfortunately when viewed or watched by young unguided minds might inspire violence in them seeing it as a norm if not properly trained or guided. Not only this, uncensored contents on the social media especially those not meant for some certain age grade are seen all over the internet with unrestricted access which also posses danger as it can inspire violence in these young ones. With much work demand, busy schedules, online engagements/activities, parents attention are swiftly driven away from watching over their wards and some of these children might start developing violent characters.
Furthermore, bad or poor upbringing can impact negatively on child's development even through moral decadence, poor social values, uncivil or unhealthy human relations etc. For example, a child raised from a background of violence, fight or hatred will definitely view life from such perspective until a drastic intervention sets in. Also, poor governmental policies, insecurities, unemployment all contributes to violence in our society, nation and world because the "idle hand is the devil's workshop" and when the youths are not well planned for or gainfully employed, it might result to been engaged with violent activity.
The solution to this increase in violence is multifaceted involving family, government and individuals. Each family which is the basic unit of the society must rise up to its responsibility of taking care of their wards/offspring and raise them with good morals and values. Also, the government must rise up in its duties by providing adequate security for its citizen and to create enabling environment for job opportunities and entrepreneurship. Any government not having concrete plans for its working population is already booked for violence, unrest and outrage from such. Also, politics of violence should totally be discontinued as this is a subtle way of weaponising the youths with arms and armunitions which on the long run resorts to violent behavior and character.
In all, socialization, civilization and digitalisation should be seen in the right perspective as instruments of change and positivity and not for violence. There should be enforcement of the existing regulation as regards crimes and violence. Also, broadcasting regulations and film sensory rules e.g. PG i.e. parental guidance, 18+ for movies/film for adults should be observed. In addition, the discretion of each individual is also very important as not all things are worthy of beholding or looking at. Yeah. The family has a role to play in shaping the minds of their offspring, and also guiding them into doing what is right always the time.
I agree with everything you've said; even the government has a role to play as well.
Thanks so much for your comments and for agreeing with my views.

Exactly 💯
A lot of things contribute to the violence we have everywhere on our streets today. But if you would put everything, you would realize that it's the kind of information we got whether by practical or by theory (movies, articles) that births violence.
I just wish that the solution you have on focusing more on positivity rather than violence would be put into consideration but I doubt the government even have time for that
True 💯
Government sometimes doesn't care for selfish reasons.
Thanks for your useful contributions.
