Hive Naija Weekly Prompt 29: The Last Festive Holidays; My Experiences and Their Impacts

Hello everyone @Hive Naija community and i hope we are having a great week already. It's yet another awesome time on the hive naija weekly prompt and i'm glad to be participating once again where i will be sharing about the last festive holidays and my experiences during the holidays and their impacts. Kindly follow through and it will be an awesome read.


The holiday began for me in the second week of December, 2023 till the first week of January, 2024 which happened to be my annual leave. The first experience i had was that of the Couple's hangout/weekend which is an annual event organised to bring couples together to relax, enjoy and have a good time together. This was my first time of such hangout been newly wedded early October, 2023. It kicked started on a Friday evening with a movie night where we watch an interesting action movie and various refreshments were served. The following day kicked started with sporting activities involving different games of choice which was thrilling. There was a dinner in the evening which left me with different moments and sweet memories. All these came at a price of some token paid but the positive impact of this cannot be easily forgotten or overemphasized.


The second peculiar experience i had was the visit of our parents to us during the festive to share the joy of the season with us. It was such a great moment which every parents usually prayed for and the joy beaming from their faces is worthy of note. It was such a privilege to host them as that was their first visit to us and it was a moment of joy for us all. The impact of their labour and prayers cannot be neglected and the impact of this is that truly "blood is thicker than water" and also, there is due reward, honour and appreciation after labour and sacrifices of parentage. Hence, the importance/impact of family and relationships can never be easily forgotten or erased.

The third peculiar experience i had was rendering a helping hand to visit and do some skeletal service for a former boss in the office even despite being on holiday because of the need/urgency that arose then. The positive feedbacks i got from clients and warm reception i got when i visited the place after i left awhile ago shows to me the impact of having good relationship and good human interactions with people. This validated the importance of selfless sacrifice and good morals/character because their impart may last long than as expected sometimes.
By rendering this help, i was duely rewarded by this my former boss and it reinforced our previous coordial relationship.

In all these experiences, one thing that stood out is the power of relationship be it family wise or outside family. The impact of relationships is worthy of note and that's why investment in quality relationships is really worthwhile with its rewards coming now or later.
