Nostalgia

This is the start of the week and as it is, my week is packed. I have this workshop that’s going to take up half of it and the other half will be for my second semester exams for my Masters program. The journey has been interesting and even though the load is much at this point, I can’t complain seeing how these are things I have been working towards. It’s just sad they both fall alongside.

In preparation of this I made efforts over the weekend to make sketches and one of them is this young lady, I am very glad I picked this subject. It looks very simple but then, while drawing it I misplaced her nose and mouth. While adjusting it, I had a strange feeling, one I’ve not had for years. I felt like I was at that point where I made my first ever portrait and believe me, it was amazing.
