Water pollution refers to the contamination of water bodies by substances that degrade their quality and render them harmful to humans and the environment. These substances can include chemicals, microorganisms, and other pollutants that disrupt natural ecosystems and can make water unsafe for human use. Link

I understood the concept of water pollution in high school, when we were taught about pollution. Air pollution, noise pollution, land pollution and water pollution are the types of pollution i know of. And pollution involves contaminating the bodies of this elements.

Most of the types of pollution are caused by the advancement in modern technology. There is always a waste product to get rid of, and most firms are careless in disposing their waste. Some of these waste are dumped in the water, hereby contaminating the water. Pollution of any kind is bad, and poisonous as most of know. Let's discourage pollution.
