Attic is a room inside the the roof of the house. It is usually smaller than the rooms in the house. It is just a space in the roof, created for something other than what is in the house. But most people use the attic as a storage room.

If I were to describe the attic, I would say it is a secret room in the roof. I assume it is secret because most folks do not identify an attic, especially from outside. I have seen houses that looks like they have an attic but they don't.

An attic can be used as a hideout or basically to keep something hidden from prying eyes. Some folks keep secret in the attic, so that others are not aware.
