SMP - Week 25: Time!

Time!!!
The greatest asset known to man.
But sometimes it is difficult to identify an asset, especially when it given to you freely. I guess that is the case with humans and time.

I see people make use of time carelessly as if it were worthless. I was with a few folks, a lot younger though. They were dreading time, complaining how the time was slow and they wanted the day to end faster. I actually pitied them.

I use to be like that.
Having no value for time, hoping for time to while away. Complaining how time has been moving so slowly, procrastinating what I should do on time because I thought I had all the time in the world. But now I know better, I have seen what time is worth. I have seen the value of time, how the smallest unit of time can have an impact on a person's life.

Imagine an athlete running a relay, he values seconds because he can lose his title in a matter of seconds. You see a dying man, requesting for more time and this is the same time we sometimes misuse.

It is often when we are out of time that we see the value of it. You don't have to lose time to know it's worth, make the most of the time you have to accomplish what you set out to do.

Of course, procrastination is a thief of time.
It robs you of the precious time you have by making you believe you have more time to do what you should have done.

I take time very seriously now.
I know now that every single minute, second counts.
This thought has helped me achieve quite a lot I'm the past years. I have been able to meet up schedules, projects ahead of my competitors because i managed my time we'll. They were surprised because we had such a limited time to deliver but I was more conscious of time.

Spending time on idle things won't help you.
Invest time on something productive and it will yield results for you.
