Respect is not what you should coerce someone to give you. Respect is to be given willingly not forced. Respect is earned not highjacked. You can only try but you cannot force respect, you would be wasting your time.
Respect is motivated by value.
When you value someone, you would respect them. Respect places value on someone or something. As much as you demand respect, others do too.
Mainly we only see ourself when it comes to this but others deserve our respect too, and the more we show respect for others, the more we would be respected.
