We are now in a global age where you can post anything online and it would be seen all over the world, without knowing you in person. This has given many people the opportunity to say and do things that they generally would not do in real life.
We now see rumours pictured as the truth, no verifiable fact. Most people do not seek the fact, they just assume and believe everything they see online, especially the aged. And when you try to correct the notion, they snub you.
Information is very important and powerful, it can empower you or make you afraid, it all depends on the way you handle them. I like to verify my facts first before taking action or passing the information to others. I think it is more safer this way.
