My Latest Mutation || a five minute prompt
I understood the idea of mutation when I saw the The X-Men. The professor, Charles Xavier did a paper on it. But of course I know mutation is not all about becoming a super power or being a super hero but it is simply the alteration of the DNA.
I'm not even a fan of changing things from their natural form, it usually ends in disaster. So, if the mutation is not natural, then I'm not interested in it.

While mutations don't grant superpowers, we must admit that after a very long and extended period of small mutations, the human species, with its capacity for consciousness, emerged. From a realistic, not a fantastical, point of view, this undoubtedly constitutes a superpower known only to Homo sapiens.
This is a great insight, I'm not sure if I have heard this before.
Thanks for the feedback.
Best regards. Yes, of course, my friend, you must have heard about this idea many times because it forms the basis of what scientists have been saying over time about genetic mutations that can sometimes cause health problems, but at the same time, another set of mutations has occurred over millions of years that has facilitated greater adaptation and resistance of species to environmental influences. It is a very common idea in science, and in fact, science fiction about beings with superpowers arose from the ideas of scientists who inspired the creativity of science fiction writers. What I have never read, but I imagine many people have talked about, is seeing consciousness as a superpower. I am a psychiatrist and a scholar of how it works, and the human brain has so many capabilities, including some that we still do not fully exploit, that I consider the functioning of the human mind and its capabilities to be superpowers because of all that we can achieve in creativity and intelligence. Have a happy Friday and weekend. It's always a pleasure to exchange ideas.
Great insight.
