Hello dear Hive users, I hope everything is going well in your lives. For me, everything is going as usual, with the school-home routine.
One day when I was leaving school, my teacher friends asked if we wanted to do something after school, and I immediately agreed. Sometimes a change is good for all of us, especially after busy days at work.
We reviewed our options until we decided where to go. Since it was after school, we were all hungry, but we didn't want to eat anything heavy since it was still early evening. So we decided to go to a newly opened place called ‘Birecik Home Cooking’. Run by a mother and daughter from Birecik, it serves daily home-cooked meals, desserts, and savory pastries.

When we arrived, the interior decor and the flowers used were really nice. The swing decorated with flowers was especially nice for taking pictures.

While deciding what to eat, we also talked about the troubles and funny incidents we had experienced during the day.

Especially as a teacher, the main topic of conversation is students. Actually, this is one of the things I respect most about my profession. What other job can you talk about with such enthusiasm? :)

We paused our conversation to choose what to eat. We wanted lentil soup and kuru dolma (stuffed vegetables). I was especially curious about the kuru dolma because Şanlıurfa is also famous for its kuru dolma. At the same time, I wasn't without fear because the peppers here are unfortunately very spicy :)

Fortunately, when the food arrived and we tasted it, I felt relieved. Yes, it was a bit spicy, but it was a pleasant spiciness. The soup was also very hot and filling. Sometimes soups eaten outside the home taste better, and this was one of those times.
Also, when the weather is cold, drinking hot soup warms you up inside.
After eating and chatting, we took a short walk along the river and came home. My husband and I made ourselves some Turkish coffee and reviewed the day.

We talked about his work in general and I shared some brief comments about the classroom environment and the teachers' lounge at my new school.
We also chatted about posts and such related to Hive. Since my husband is much better at this than I am, hearing his opinions is very valuable to me :)

Merhaba sevgili Hive kullanıcıları, umarım hayatınızda her şey yolunda gidiyordur. Benim için her şey normal akışında gidiyor okul-ev rutin halde.
Yine okuldan çıkacağım bir gün okuldan öğretmen arkadaşlarım çıkışta bir şeyler yapalım mı deyince hemen kabul ettim. Bazen farklılık hepimize iyi gelir özellikle yoğun çalışma günlerinin ardından.
Nereye gideceğimize karar verene kadar seçeneklerimizi gözden geçirdik. Okul çıkışı olduğu için hepimiz açtık ama akşama da zaman olduğu için ağır şeyler yemek istemedik. Bu yüzden yeni açılan 'Birecik Ev Yemekleri' isimli yere gitmeye karar verdik. Geçenlerde Birecikli anne kız tarafından açılan yerde günlük ev yemekleri , tatlı , tuzlu pastane ürünleri çıkıyor.

Mekana geldiğimizde iç dekoru, kullanılan çiçekler vs. gerçekten hoştu.

Özellikle çiçeklerle süslenmiş salıncak fotoğraf çektirmek için güzeldi.
Ne yiyeceğimize karar veririken de aynı zamanda gün içinde yaşadığımız sıkıntıları , komik olayları konuşuyorduk.

Özellikle öğretmen olunca konuşacağınız konunun ana teması öğrenciler oluyor. Aslında bu bile mesleğime saygı duyduğum konuların başında geliyor. Hangi iş hakkında konuşurken bu kadar istekli olunabilir ki :)

Sohbete ara verip yiyeceğimiz yemekleri seçmiştik. Mercimek çorbası ve ortaya kuru dolma istemiştik. Özellikle kuru dolmayı merak ediyordum çünkü Şanlıurfa kuru dolmasıyla da meşhur bir yerdir. Aynı zamanda korkmuyor değildim çünkü buranın biberleri fazla acı oluyor maalesef :)

Neyse ki yemek geldiğinde tadına baktığımızda içim rahatladı , evet biraz acıydı ama yenilecek bir acıydı. Çorba da fazlasıyla sıcak ve doyurucuydu. Bazen evde değilde dışarda yenilen çorbalar daha güzel gelir bu da onlardan biriydi.
Bir de hava serinse o içilen sıcak çorba içinizi sıcacık yapar.
Hem yediğimiz yemekler hem de sohbetin ardından kısa bir nehir yürüyüşü yapıp eve geldiğimde eşimle kendime Türk kahvesi yapıp günün değerlendirmesini yaptık.

Hem onun işinde genel bir değerlendirme hem benim yeni okulumdaki sınıf ortamları ve öğretmenler odası hakkında ufak yorumlar yaptık.
Aynı zamanda Hive hakkında da postlar vs hakkında sohbet ettik. Eşim bu konuda benden baya iyi olduğu için onun yorumlarını almak benim için çok değerli :)
