The Warhammer40k Dreadnoughts - A overview
Hi exptrader here from northern Germany,
as some of you may have noticed in your comments when you posted about your experiences and units here on PeakD, that I am fond of dreadnoughts, it's time for me to give you a little overview. What Warhammer40k has to offer and most importantly why I find them fascinating.
If I remember back, my first experience with combat robots was with the game "Amored Core2". There you operate a mech that you could (and still can) customise to complete missions. There was also a 1vs1 game mode for the PS2 (I think) and I played it very long and very extensively.
Then with Battlefield 2042 in a future setting where humanity was fighting for resources there were also small few mechs and I also found it very interesting, especially when you as a soldier suddenly face a mech.
And since then I've found any kind of mech in films/games or series interesting:
The dreadnoughts in Warhammer40k have a very nice design and are very easy to paint. You can throw a lot of details on them and it's reassuring to know that they can simply flatten the enemy in a pinch ;).
But now we come to the types of dreadnoughts:
I've picked out a few for you here and described them with a little backgrounder and key points. So I think there's something for everyone, even if they might not be as enthusiastic about dreadnoughts as I am:
Let's get started

If you liked the post, I would be happy that you leave a like or a nice comment. That way I can see if you are interested and I can give more input for the Warhammer40k community and especially newcomers who have nothing to do with it yet.
It is also important to spread the word of the Emperor and generate new recruits, that means share it with your family, friends, strangers at the bus stop so they can have fun with it like us ;)
Should I have forgotten to mention a Dreadnought (which I doubt for now ;) ) Just let me know and I'll dedicate an extra post to it.
Of course I know that there are dreadnoughts for every faction in different colours and shapes ;)
Until then

I had no idea there were so many different types of Dreadnaughts. Is the Redempter the only one that has a Space Marine pilot it (as opposed to being interred within)? I honestly have no idea the Deredeo Dreadnought Anvilus even existed. Thanks for putting this together.
The deredeo cost round about 40 Euro , its came with the heresey package.
To my understanding , the Pilot is normaly a fallen space Marine and the techs Put the Soul/dead/injured Marine Into the Dreadnought. The redempter is , i think, the same Setup with the Primaris marines
