Let's talk CAMEOS!

I had just concluded a 2024 series that had a cameo no one expected and this thought came to mind, the drama industry tend to give cameos like this in a lot of their dramas. What if I go in search of the ones I can still remember seeing in series I've seen in the past.

For every kdrama story, there is a universe. Cameos are when characters from one universe (kdrama story) play a scene in another universe - a Multiverse Magic only kdrama can create, proving that the universe is more connected than fans must have imagined.

I love cameos, do you? For the different and interesting reasons, here are five crossover cameos each story needed that you should check out if you're yet to.

Go Mi-nyeo From "You're Beautiful (2009)" In "My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho (2010)".

Over a decade ago, these two masterpieces were released but years later, I'm only just remembering that we had a cameo that should not be forgotten. Go Mi-nyeo who starred as a singer in "You're Beautiful" played an old friend to our male lead in "My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho" to make the female lead jealous and become sure of her feelings. Her roles from both series are not connected but kdrama made it possible.

Bang Dong-gu From "Secretly Greatly (2013)" In "Crash Landing On You (2019)".

I saw the series "Crash Landing On You" long before I saw the short movie "Secretly Greatly" so you could say I didn't know I was seeing a cameo until after I saw the movie. Bang Dong-gu who disguised as a fool but is a secret agent in "Secretly Greatly" didn't switch role six years later, he still played as the ridiculous Dong-gu to our characters in "Crash Landing On You".

Go Hye-mi From "Dream High (2011)" In "My Love From Another Star (2013)"

Go Hye-mi who played an aspiring singer at a performing arts school in "Dream High", her cameo in "My Love From The Star" was a very connecting role to her history with Kim Soo-hyun as she showed a love interest to him which got our female lead jealous. I saw "My Love From Another Star" before "Dream High" so yeah, I didn't realize I was having a cameo to appreciate.

Vincenzo From "Vincenzo (2021) In "Queen Of Tears (2024)".

On my top two cameos, one of the best yet and the coolest crossover Cameo you'd see on screen. The "Vincenzo" series had viewers excited all through it's episodes so having a cameo of our lead in the recent release "Queen Of Tears" and having a character rundown what people refer to him as before that scene was a bliss to viewers. Reminding us of his roles in "Descendants of the sun", "Reborn Rich", "Werewolf" and "Space Sweepers".

Do Bong-soon And Ahn Min-hyuk From "Strong Girl Bong-soon (2017) In "Strong Girl Nam-soon (2023)"

My most favourite, one of the best yet too... It's our Bong Bong and Min Min special appearance in "Strong Girl Nam-soon" in a police station and the two didn't fail to give us all the best cute sides and funny words we loved in "Strong Girl Bong-soon" series. It was even more exciting that I saw the first before the second made over six years later. A crossover cameo you don't want to miss.

There is more cameos in kdramas that have left viewers wanting more, you can share any you think is unforgettable or remarkable in any kdrama you've seen. Let's talk about our love for Cameos and let me know which of these series you've seen or yet to see.
