Double The Drama: 5 K-Drama Actors Who Nailed Red And Green Flag Roles

Here again with something a bit different but definitely one you don't want to miss out on... You love kdramas? Then you'd know we have actors who can switch roles like it's easy to do... Their versality is topnotch and can't go unnoticed by kdrama lovers.

One storyline, they are so lovely and too good to be true, another storyline, they are cold blooded or manipulative that we'd want to hate them. I've seen so many kdramas and I think this list of actors are the best when it comes to switching roles in being green or red flags.

Gong Yoo - Green Flag In "Goblin", Red Flag In "Squid Game"

I think I felt my heart sink and at the same time excited when I saw Gong Yoo in "Squid Game" as the recruiter, and this was because he was so sweet and cute in "Goblin" even as a god. His role in the first episode of the second season of "Squid Game" gave me even more tension as he met his end with no remorse for all he did. How did one so sweet and funny in "Goblin" give such chilling cameo in "Squid Game"? Well, if you're yet to see any of them, you should. Gong Yoo played both roles quite effortlessly in both masterpieces.

Song Kang - Green Flag In "My Demon", Red Flag In "Nevertheless"

As much as I do not want to agree with this, Song Kang in "Nevertheless" is a character nobody want to get involved with in real life because of his manipulative skills towards Na-bi and that makes it a red flag role. Even though he tried to be difficult in realizing his feelings in "My Demon", he was a cute romantic that we totally forgot his role as a red flag. One thing was clear, Song Kang knows how to play both games right. Both series are recommended at least, so confirm his acting skill in both roles.

Kim Seon-ho - Green Flag In "Hometown Cha Cha Cha, Red Flag In" The Childe"

Until the end of "The Childe", I couldn't believe Kim Seon-ho acting skill as I kept giving the "is this really Du-sik?" remarks lol. He completely threw me off with his psychopathic hitman role after all the sweet emotions and jack-of-all-trades role he gave a perfect character to in "Hometown Cha Cha Cha". How he made viewers love him as a psycho and as a romantic is not something just any actor can do, he nailed both roles! You really want to check out these series too.

Byeon Woo-seok - Green Flag In "Lovely Runner", Red Flag In "Strong Girl Nam-soo"

One of my greenest flag in 2024 has to be Sun-jae in "Lovely Runner", a character who defies time and space for love. Woo-seok made every viewer love him for being a good son, a good friend and a great boyfriend material. Going back to remember his cold and cunning criminal role in "Strong Girl Nam-soo" makes viewers wonder and give second checks to be sure it's our same Sun-jae lol. From the greenest flag to a red flag we could only pity for and wish he had a better end. Both stories are a good recommendation, you should check them out.

Lee Jun-young - Green Flag In "When Life Gives You Tangerines", Red Flag In "Weak Hero Class 2"

It's a surprise that Jun-young played supporting roles in both series but somehow won fans over with his acting skills in both roles. Even though he didn't end up with his love in "When Life Gives You Tangerines", viewers confirmed all the green flags he was until the very end. His psychotic laughs and daring appearance in "Weak Hero Class 2"are quite memorable, I couldn't get enough of the roles he was made to play as a red flag. Jun-young is that character you want to see in stories really.
