I think the fact that you learned from that hard experience of losing your laptop is the silver-lining to such a difficult situation. And that's really all we can do in the difficult situations, isn't it? We look for the gold - the lesson that we can take further in life. I hope your current situation eases. The experience of losing my laptop back then was a very tough one because I was not in a situation where I could have it replaced. Thankfully, I got to learn a lot from that experience.
