The Future of Social Media Is the Fediverse
I feel like the future of social media is on the Fediverse. The problem with centralized social media where one entity runs the platform, is just that, one entity runs the platform. It is a single point of failure because it is a target for corruption and the collateral damage of that is your hard worked-on data. Decentralization is more important now than ever because the world is moving towards a more (digital) global society with a lot of people with deep pockets. Rather than these rich people minding their own business, and staying out of us ordinary peoples’ business, they choose to try to control the resources of us ordinary people by buying up anything they see is a threat, or a profitable business venture, and taking it over. We are moving into the direction of blatant unethical business practices. They do so because not only do they want our money, but they also want our minds. They have, in essence, taken the age-old tactic of Microsoft by buying out their competition and have started targeting the resources of regular, everyday people who don’t have 7-figure paychecks to fight back.
The posterchild of this new trend is Twitter (I will never call it X; it sounds cheesy like an 8 year old named it). Once a platform great for getting real-time news, was bought out and sabotaged by the billionaire Elon Musk in around 2022. The excuse he used to buy it was free speech was being censored, but we all know free speech was a front. The real reason why he and people like him whined about it was because they felt “oppressed” from spreading hate speech and white nationalist propaganda. As a result, rather than leaving ordinary people with their toys, he bought Twitter and it has gone from being a widely-used public service to now more like 4Chan where every “lib” and LBQGT-like comment is immediately shouted down by racists, misogynists and trolls and every incel and neckbeard gamer has a political platform to regurgitate their biased assumptions about the world from their parent’s basements.
Another problem with centralized platforms is even worse in that they are targeted by corrupt governments when they feel like they’re losing the war on public opinion. An example of that is what’s happening now as we speak in that dystopian state of Israel taking over TikTok. The genocide by Israel on Palestinians in Gaza is the crime of all crimes. They are intentionally killing the children of Gaza and other non-combatant citizens, and torturing the rest, so they can clear the land of them and take it over for more settlements and resorts, just like white Americans did to the First Nations Peoples in the United States. No one on this planet supports Israel, except the United States government, so public opinion is against them. Trump tried to force TikTok CEO, Shou Zi Chew, to sell the platform using the false accusation that “our data is being sold to China” (TikTok is owned by Singapore and not China btw), but the reality is this is all a lie to take over the platform by the US and Israel to squash Israeli criticism and spread Zionist propaganda. TikTok only became a target because it's the top social media app and the Palestinians were screaming out to the world for help through it. Same thing that happened with the Arab Spring in 2010. So rather than selling all of TikTok to the US, Shou Zi Chew sold Americans out and gave a proprietary fork of TikTok to the US government with Israeli minstrel show, former IDF solder, Erica Mindel, as its modern day Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels, set to launch in September 5th of 2026.

By this time next year, Americans are going to have a Zionist-approved version of TikTok completely surveillanced by Israel under the guise of “searching for antisemitism”. I swear, you can’t make this up. But wait, there’s more!
Not only that, but Israeli leader Satanyahu (Netanyahu), called TikTok a "weapon" and has launched a multi-million dollar propaganda crusade, called Project Esther, where he has vowed to “do something about the algorithms” and hired popular TikTok influencers to spread Zionist fodder across TikTok and other social media.
And herein lies the problem. Twitter was taken over by American white nationalists/Christian Anglo-Saxon evangelists and TikTok was taken over by Israeli Zionists and people who are not aware, or do not have the mental wherewithal or capacity to understand what they're looking at, will not know a huge propaganda war is going on, and will agree and participate in the discord and that's what white nationalists, Netanyahu and the Zionists are betting on. Their target audiences will be Christian evangelicals and teens because both demographics are too ignorant to critically think for themselves. In order for hate to work, you need stupid people. And besides, brainwashing is something Israel is good at, and brainwashing children when they're in their most influential years is Israel's top priority. You only need to watch Hamza's content who interviews Israeli kids to see how deeply mentally ill and disturbed Israeli children are from the Israeli state's brainwashing program. This is by design.

Social media platforms just leave too much room for corruption which is why everyone should stop using them and make a great exodus to the Fediverse. Algorithms are a bane on social media platforms because they are now being used as weapons against us. They can be used against people, mainly children, the elderly and willingly stupid, to brainwash them. We have all seen how Israel is an expert at brainwashing people with Zionist propaganda, especially children, as they have done it to their entire population which is why so much psychopathy only read in horror books comes out of that place. And like the white colonizers did to the First Nations Peoples’ they are using religion, Judaism, to falsely claim their right to divine conquest and expansionism and social media has become part of that battlefield.
This is a test of all of humanity's moral metal.
On the Fediverse, there are no algorithms. Content is like the good-ol-days of the Internet where your curiosity in a search leads you to just stumble upon something. And since nothing is centralized, there’s no centralized take down of content beholden to one entity; you can get blocked by a server if its moderators are into censorship, but you can't be blocked from all of the millions of other users on the Fediverse. You just post something from whatever Activitypub-compatible (the protocol that the Fediverse rides on) instance you want to use, and it goes wherever the wind blows it across the network and it finds it’s way in some random bro on the Internet’s feed. There is no one to take over social media content on the Fediverse because it is open web and your content doesn’t get posted within anyone’s one platform. It’s even better if you have the knowledge to host your own Fediverse existence, which is what I have done across WordPress, Bluesky and wherever on the Fediverse. My website is powered by Activitypub so anything I post goes everywhere where Activitypub, or other Activitypub-compatible protocol, is supported. My website is my "social media" platform.
In conclusion, we can’t just keep letting the rich and governments own us. These proxy manipulation tactics must come to an end because all they’re doing is tainting our public space, ruining our data, and the Internet overall, for their personal, greedy, selfish means. Because of them, our Internet has become poisoned with misinformation, gaslighting AI videos, Photoshopped images and now propaganda crusades all created to twist reality and cause confusion and dissonance.
The Internet is a public space of learning for everyone and we ordinary people who make-up the majority, should own it. Not let it get privatized by the rich and corrupt governments for evil means, mostly to be turned against us.
A war is going on and this time, we’re included. We must fight against the use of corporate social media by not using it. They're trying to buy up all the physical and virtual space, but virtual space is useless to them if we aren't using it.
