HOW TO MAKE BRIDAL FAN

Today I will be showing us steps and videos on how I make this bridal hand fan, this fan is commonly used among brides, and it is mostly used during the traditional wedding, bridal fan is used in Nigeria because we prioritize traditional weddings over any other thing.

The traditional wedding is where your bride's price is been paid and other necessary items are collected by the bride's family, so the hand fan is very necessary for the bride, though there is nothing attached to it, it is just part of the accessories for the bride.

Firstly there is a clear difference between a glue gun and a gum

This is the gun and the gum attached to it is the glue gum, the gum is responsible for the gumming of any of your material, and this glue gun is mostly used on fabrics.

There are different methods for making a bridal fan, you can decide to use a carton or the local hand fan, also there are different materials for it, some people use feather material to make the hand fan but in this, I will be using a fabric.

Firstly I cut out the shape of my hand fan on the lining material, this is important because of the fabric I used, it is a net and also a transparent material, I need to use another material to cover it up, I tacked the lining material with the fan for a perfect work before adding the other part on it, after tacking the first part then I cover it up with the second part of the same lining.

The second procedure is cutting out the main fabric that would be on top of the lining, attaching it to the other one then gumming them together, it is so simple and affordable, the next part is adding my accessories to it, I added the flower I bought with the beads on it, this fan doesn't require too much accessories depends on how you want it to look like.

These are the steps required in making the bridal fan, it is so simple and easy to make if all your items are ready, also you can improvise for the glue gun, you can use other gum to make it, it is not a must to use the glue gun.
