Rethinking Selflessness: Is Sacrificing Oneself Worth It?

Even when Jesus came to die for our sins according to the bible that we might be saved from sins and reproach, most of us still go back to sin and never appreciate his effort, so as humans is this possible?

I welcome you all to another episode of hivelearners community prompt and today's topic is one of the topic we all should think deep before putting it down, this never a simple task we can all write about, it takes thinking and truthfulness to be able to attend to this prompt.

We all know human being are ungrateful in nature and when I saw this prompt different questions started coming to my head's like what if the people I sacrifice myself for are ungrateful? What is the assurance that the disease will be cured after laying myself as a sacrificial lamb?

To be honest this questions are very theoretical, in my opinion and my choice, I can never give my life for others to survive since I am not the only one in this situation, I believe there should be another option rather than me losing my life for others to enjoy.

In a situation where we have older people, I would suggest that people who are older than me and have nothing to lose should be the one to do the sacrifice, I have witnessed many cases that the helper will later be at fault for rescuing people from danger.

It is not an easy task to sacrifice for others to live, I can never lay myself to be the next Jesus to save the world, it is better for everyone to suffer for and profound solutions to the problem at hand rather than sacrificing my life for everyone.

Some people might think I am heartless but this is my decision, it is better to be true to myself than to be deceiving people and putting them on a journey of no end, human nature are so ungrateful, they will definitely not appreciate my sacrifice even if I try to do.

It is better to find a lasting solution to the disease rather than sacrificing people's life, killing others to live shouldn't be the only solution to everything, there will always be a way out but saying I should give myself as a sacrificial lamb will not be possible.

I think everyone should carry their cross, it is not a decision to be made by an individual to lay down your life for others to live, in our daily life we see how ingrate people can be and this will amount to nothing by sacrificing my life to people who see my sacrifice as nothing because they will never value anything I do for them.

Some creatures are so entitled, they will always prove that it is the best decision I made and feel entitled for my sacrifice, let everyone be in pain and find the solution together because I can never see myself as a sacrificial lamb.

I'm not saying that I'm against helping others or making sacrifices. But I do think we need to be realistic about the potential consequences and outcomes. If we're not careful, we might end up doing more harm than good.

This is my response to this episode of hivelearners community prompt of #hl-w137e03 which the topic is tagged Is It Justified?

😂 I couldn't stop laughing when I read this part, since old people had already lived out the best part of their lives, they should be the one responsible for necessary sacrifice right? Who did they offend? 😂😂
