Newbies initiative team leader report on task 1

Greetings and welcome to the first weekly report from the team leaders regarding this year's newbies who have been accepted into the first batch of the Newbies initiative for 2024. This is my first weekly report as a team leader. The newbies initiative program is projected to be conducted for eight weeks.

What is the importance of this initiative?
Why do you need to join this initiative as a newbie?

If you are planning to join this initiative on Hive, this is an initiative that talks about the guidelines, and the dos and don'ts of Hive, this is an initiative to direct your steps on Hive and lead you to the right path.

Relax and let me feed you with some of the reports and progress we made during the first week of this initiative, the first edition of the year 2024 of the newbies initiative kick-started on the 5th of May which is on Sunday, The purpose of this report is to explain the Newbies' progress in team 2, to know people who did the first task giving to them and also know people who were absent or have a tangible reason for not doing the task.

The meeting started at exactly 8 pm on Sunday in the Newbies discord channel, where most of the newbies were present, @starstrings01 was the host and also the tutor for the day, the topic for the first task was SETTING GOALS he explained the meaning of goal, the importance of it, and the reason why they must set goal on hive as a newbie, he introduced an acronym SMART the meaning and gave them their first task.

I have nine members in my team and eight of them attended the meeting but the last person gave a tangible reason, he was absent due to his health issue also he submitted his task. I was impressed with their write-ups because they gave me detailed explanations of what it means to set a goal, the full meaning of smart, and how it can help when setting goals, setting goals does not only mean talking, you must put in your maximum effort with action for it to be called a goal.

Task one was a success, as a team leader I went through the submission and I was impressed because they understood the assignment, I corrected some parts and left my comments on each post, one of my team members did not carry out this task and I have already messaged him to know what is going on and to know how is doing maybe he is fine or not, I was so glad because they are all active and always ask questions when necessary.

MY LITTLE ADVICE

To all my team members I would say you are the best, I see that you understand the assignment and I would say I am so impressed as your team leader, also this is not a full stop, we need to work hard and achieve the best from this initiative, there are more to learn and more to gain from this program, more grease to your elbow, I hope you will make me proud and we can achieve greatly together on Hive. This is just a starting point, never relent.
