MEMORIES EVOKED BY THESE PICTURES
It was like a dream come through, I have been wanting to visit the farm but I never had the opportunity to do such, whenever I visit my village, going to the farm has always been on my mind but my parent will never concur to that idea.
I love it when people share ideas of new things when I was in school, the only idea on my head was going to the mall and visiting one store to another, I can literally list most restaurants in my area because that is the only place I visit.
I had a fun moment and an important one at that because it was my first time visiting the farm, it is a memory that can never fade away.
It was my best friend's wedding and she told me to spend a week with her in her village because that is where the wedding would be held, I agreed to follow her, she is someone dear to my heart, she is loving and caring, I can do anything for her because she can as well do same for me.
I was so happy when she called me and told me to spend a week with her before the wedding so that we could put so many things in place before the wedding day, I packed my bag joyfully and told my family about the journey and they were all happy for her.
I arrived at her village and one of her brothers picked me up from the park and we headed home, it was a village where most villagers practice subsistence farming, they farm in other to feed and most occupations in that village are farming, I was so happy when I saw the structure of the village and told myself that this looks as if my dream will come through here in this village.
My friend decided to lodge me in the next village where their hotel was but I refused, I refused to be treated specially, I wished to explore the life of a villager, and I wished to mingle with them, and not feel segregated because I am from the city.
The next day I heard her brothers preparing to go to the farm, I heard their voices from my room, I stood up and came outside so that I could follow them, but when I got outside they had already left because it took me some minutes to get out from the room and they had already used their bicycles and move to the farm, I told my friend about my eagerness to visit the farm and she promise to talk to his brothers and she assured me that I can follow them the next day, I was so excited to hear that from her.
It was as if I couldn't sleep overnight, I was just waiting for them to call me, when I heard a knock on my door, I stood up and got prepared, this time they were using a motorcycle because the farm was very far from the village, I was so happy to visit the farm and it was like a dream comes true.
It was an adventure that I enjoyed so much and this memory is still fresh and I could not get over it, I took pictures of what I saw on the farm before my phone went off because there was no light in the village so we used of generators most nights.
NOTE:- All The Pictures In This Post Are Mine
This is my entry for this week's episode of the hivelearners community prompt of #hl-w102e3 which is tagged "AN ORIGINAL PICTURE"
I am surprised to hear that you never visited a village farm before, thank God for your friend for opening your eyes😂. There is nothing as sweet as life in the village, just that sometimes, too much of farm work makes it annoying 😂
I was so happy when I finally got the chance to visit the farm, it was an experience that I can't forget.
Awnnn.. please come to my side during raining season, there would be a lot of farming and we would be pleased to have you around 🥰
Please invite me when the time comes, I wish to have more experience
Hahaha... Don't worry, I'll do just that ma
Farms are truly beautiful and farmers are the engines of any economy. I love the photos you have chosen. They remind me of my native village too. As an urban kid who only saw farms when traveling to meet grandparents every year, I can see how the farm visit would have made you happy. Even today when I see that dark green color of leaves anywhere I feel at peace :)
Good memories were evoked through your writing today. Cheers from one #dreemerforlife to another.
The way you were so happy that you were going to the farm was so funny
Anyway it’s amazing that you like to explore and I love it for you
Finally your dream came true

Going to the farm is a very beautiful experience for most of us city dwellers. I remember how I felt the first time I went to the farm too. It was a very nice feeling.
